Reckon North will find this one tough against the Power Reserves. Schulz up front will prove a difficult match up, and Neade, from what I saw of the 'derby' last Sunday on the telly, was featuring prominently in the play.

I'm more confident of tipping a cheap stout down my gullet and the purchase of a few lucky squares at the RSL at half-time, though. ;)

Only met the chap once, but over time on this site I had some decent tangles with the chap, and, from the people I know who knew him well I feel obliged to head to the Skeff Bar and have one for him.

I think Port should hold sway here.

I'll keep an eye out for your mate, but I quite often say I'm going and don't rock up these days because of lack of interest.

Don't think North have the potential to kick 13-15goals to win this one.
Plus Schultz to kick a bag.
Port by 30 points.

i was just given some free tickets and i was considering breaking my self imposed drought since the afl teams came it. shows my lack of interest that i didnt even realise we were playing a reserves team tomorrow until i just checked here. consequently i will continue my silent, and unheard protest

I said North had to kick 13-15 goals to win this one,I was wrong they needed to kick 17!
Back to the drawing board for the roosters.

A bizarre finish apparently between the North Reserves and the Power Reserves' Reserves. Did anybody see it?

That game ended in a draw.

With about 5 seconds to go,North were 1 point down.
North got a free about 65 metres from their goal. The siren sounded.
From this distance the north player probably had no hope of scoring.
A port player in excitement kicked the ball about 20 metres in the air.
The umpire correctly paid a 15 metre penalty to the north player.
The north player kicked a long shot point.
The game ended in a draw.

It's sort of like bowling a no ball in a T20 game of cricket when the other team needs 12 runs off the last ball to tie.

This. Was too nice a day to spend it surrounded by North supporters, got out and did some other things instead.
