Inky the ghost kicks a goal. Goal umpire consorts with central umpire. Is heard to say "I'm unsure" on the telly coverage. Eventually signals a behind.

What can be concluded from this - except perhaps that the goal ump in question will be watching the remaining finals matches from the comfort of his armchair?

Looked like it missed by miles from my vantage point in the Chappell stands. Justice was done. The worst decision of the day had to be the FAD which produced Inksters second goal in the 3rd term.

He should've gone back on the mark and had his kick.No one to blame but himself.

probably would have done a Passadork (or a Lindsay from last year at Pecker Park) & kicked into the man on the mark.

How league footballers can miss goals from 10m out directly in front, simply thru lack of basic concentration is beyond me - bewildering stuff and very, very costly. Passador's miss in particular was hugely influential on the result.

In that situation, if both the goal and field umpires are unsure, the lesser score applies.

Passador's miss showed the mindset and set the tone for the whole day. He had a chance to make up with more difficult opportunities in the following minutes and needed to make amens, but didn't.

Inkster gets adrenalin rushes. He should have gone back and just slotted the set shot. To be fair on Inkster, he tries his guts out and is one guy who always tries to lift the team when the going gets tough. He was our only dangerous forward.

Passador's kick into the man on the mark should have been another 25m penalty as Graham was way over the line.

Interesting that "the lesser score should be called". In the first game to the Southern end at one stage a ball went OOF, this was signalled, the ump waved his flag, but no score was recorded. Then later in the game the ball went OOF by a good five metres, yet a point was signalled and the score recorded.

Agreed Passador's shot on goal come very early on and a goal would have been very handy. The resulting miss and we know what happens from then on in. Not saying we would have won but that would have been very handy.

Watching from the other end of the ground was bewidered by the umpiring desision. I think it should have been a goal but only a look at the replay will tell th truth.

This was the end of the ground that both North and south had trouble getting goals BUT they were not standing in the SQUARE
How could a VFL State player the ken farmer medalist actually do that !!
