Handles left South to return to North as Dodd's replacement

Postby Ian » Mon Nov 21, 2016 7:56 pm

The NAFC is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Handby into the Development Coach role made vacant by the departure of Brad Dodd back to WA. Michael had been an Assistant League Coach with the Roosters from 2013 to 2015, including as our interim senior coach in late 2015, and then under Brad Gotch at South Adelaide as their defensive coach in 2016. It was clear the work he had done at South this season was impressive, noticing the development and improvement of several of their defensive group.
The Development Coach role has been instrumental in enhancing the improvement in many of our young players this season, it has allowed us to build on our talent base with more knowledge and understanding of our players ensuring we have a solid foundation of education and analysis to teach each player. Michael comes in to the role knowing how important it is, and the influence and guidance he can have on all of the young players throughout the club, as well as assisting in the development of our junior coaches. In addition, Michael will join Josh Carr’s senior coaching group as our backline coach.
The players are really excited at having ‘Handles’ back at the club, and we look forward to his work in this role in the future. Please join us in welcoming Michael back to the Club.

I think the Cocks love handles now.

Did you say handles cocks? Come now, don't be a knob, get a grip and pull hard.
