North, Dogs and Eagles injuries

Postby Jimmy » Mon Sep 25, 2006 11:54 am

From the weekends injuries if your club sustained any, who will miss and who will be affected most.

It was a great effort by North on the weekend to get over the line with only 17 fit players for most of the 2nd half. Souths inexperience in finals probably didnt let them capatilize on this. I know Howard went down with a hammy and a few others too so will they pull up or not. Big game, understatement, so will they play half fit players or not???

Not sure of the Eagles and Dogs if any injuries were sustained as i didnt listen to that game.

Gonna be a big match this week. Both these teams i tipped to be playing each other in the GF not playing for a spot against each other in the PF.

On their day, both teams can beat the dogs, but a lack of confidence and injuries could hand the dogs another one.

Injuries should not be an excuse for the Eagles. I don't know whether there were any in yesterday's game, but we have had pretty much a full list to pick from. North have been the hardest hit, probably out of all the clubs in the competition for the whole year.

I am afraid it does not really matter what injuries were sustained out of yesterdays match. Both teams might as well play for the draw this week and keep playing extra time.

North:

From the weekend-

Howard - hamstring, doubtful
Krieg - hamstring, unavailable
Gill - shoulder, available (has to play even if only with 1 arm)
Schubert - ankle, should play

Few others pulled up a bit sore but should all be OK.

On injury list-

Wintle - available
Coulter - available

Also-

B.White played his first game back in the 2's on Saturday. Would be in doubt though.
Weatherly played his second game back in the 2's and is fit to play but probably not a spot for him.
Perrie is available as well. Is keen to play from all reports.

Obvious the jaw wasn't broken last week then? Apologies if I missed the actual report on his injury, but WTF was it? He went down in a screaming heap with what appeared minimal contact.

 Everyone playing their cards close to their chest, plus a Sunday game doesn't help as it can take a few days for injuries to be looked at. A tough decision for Jarman, does he go in with a handfull of good players who are not 100% but can take the field or lesser players that are 100%

That's where it is so stupid, opposing sides always send reps to watch the opposition train and know more or less at the same time as us whose fit and whose not. Strangely enough I heard from a south official last Saturday morning that wintle would not be playing for North on Sunday, how right he was

Its not an injury but the SANFL has withdrawn the ridiculous report of Koops from yesterday's game.
The umpire involved should be sacked.

He has to play Gill fit or not. A half fit Gill is a better option than anyone who would come in for him.

Ridiculous report but good news it was thrown out. After the Cupido suspension i would not have been surprised with any outcome.
