Davis 2, Raitt 1 the South goal kickers. Didn't utilise the 4-5 goal breeze in that term. No forward targets apart from an under-sized Davis.

I see Port have seven individual goal scorers at the other end. Your old sharp shooter in Eddy amongst them.
Port perhaps experimenting for finals?

You poor buggers.
I thought South supporters have suffered enough over the years but giving that muppet 2 years would be shattering

The only true loser from this game was Australian Rules Football. Horrible game, both teams were shithouse.

Horrible game of football made even worse by the Green Maggots. At least we won so I'm happy to take the win.

I HATE this modern AFL game style. Kicking backwards, kicking sideways, short dinky little kicks and everybody up one end of the ground usually in 1/4 of the ground. WTF!!

I remember a Friday night game about six or seven years ago when Westies beat Port with only three goals!

South never posed a genuine threat today. Port had 6 goals on the board within 20 minutes and held sway for the remainder. South played their best footy during the first half of the third, but a late flurry of Power goals put the result beyond doubt at 3/4 time. The Power weren't required to shift out of second gear on too many occasions.

With Overall and Haren on the sidelines our forward line is non-existent. Davis has played predominately forward in recent weeks, but lacks height, pace and intensity to prove effective. As Scott mentioned earlier in the thread, playing Ellison as a permanent F50 option would make more sense.

Cross tried his guts out today in a return to form. Liddle was the only other mid to have an impact. Durdin minimised Eddy's contribution, Rose was busy while young Szust showed a bit. Too many plodders with ordinary skills running around at the moment.

8 losses in 9 starts, and with WWT and Sturt looming, sadly this season is done and dusted.

The standard/spectacle of the league has been ordinary this year, based on the games I've seen anyway (which admittedly have been mostly South games with the occasional TV game). 36 players crammed within 50-60 meters of goal is rubbish to watch.
