Enjoy your obvious run.

Oh a bay supporter...what was that? when get smashed and outclassed for 20+ years I suppose you have to blame someone

No - they blame themselves. They then go about trying to fix their shortcomings themselves. As one club. Not without anyone else's help.

Very sage words sir.

Sturt v Glenelg 2,092: it seemed a lot more than that.

I would say that the 2,092 would not be too far off the mark. The terraces were pretty well packed, usually when it is like that the crowd would be about 3,000. But there was a surprising amount of space on the hill.
Very disappointing crowd given the beautiful weather, the fact that Sturt was playing for the double chance with finals just three weeks away, and that Glenelg are still not certainties to play finals for the first time in about a decade. I have to ask where the Glenelg supporters were. I saw patches of them here and there, but I was expecting a big turnout from our seaside neighbour. I dare say we outnumbered them 3 or 4 to 1. Even in a bad year the Bays usually have much larger numbers at Unley.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Can understand your frustration mate - I haven't seen all our games this year, but from what I have seen, the Dogs yesterday could have beaten anyone. Been a while since I've seen that trademark Central physical harassment and ruthlessness. Brought back some bad memories that's for sure, but just quietly I'm a big fan of unsociable footy done right.

I am not used to seeing the hill so sparsely populated as it was on Saturday. But I don't recall us ever having a turnout as low as 2,092 before either.
If I had to choose between the two figures I would say that the 2,902 seems more likely.
Anyone got a figure of the lowest ever turnout to a game at Unley?

I got off the phone to my mother a couple of hours ago and she read the figures out to me from the paper. I saw that Matt said it was 2,092 earlier so asked her again to make sure and she said 2-9-0-2.

Paper said 2,092 ..... struck me as quite low given weather, supporter bases and form of both teams

Will check official figure posted later in week

which you can find here if interested
http://sanfl.com.au/tickets-game-day-information/ (go to bottom tab - 2017 Macca's League Attendances)

BTW
Watched 1st quarter of Eagles yesterday via digital pass .... no problems
Then I turned off and went out (so did the Eagles by the looks).

I think the rumblings have been more about our lack of recruiting, and general disarray the footy department is in, and has been for pretty much for 1/4 of a century. Think any coach would struggle under current circumstances.

Grenville wrote:Top performance today, attacked Norwood early and didn't take the foot off the pedal. Importantly we nullified Baulderstone in the middle and around the ground which hurt Norwood, both Jack Hannath and Darcy Fort played beauties. Was great to see us getting the ball and using the first option and being clean with our disposal. No passengers today. Only downer was Izzy going down, had a quick word to him after the game and he said he would need a knee reconstruction. He was playing well up to that point, hope rehab goes well for the lad and he's back at his best soon. That game style will win us more games of footy, please let us continue it for the rest of the season.

The thought is it could be a Lateral ligament which is a better case scenario than the ACL... fingers crossed; scans today will reveal the damage. Hope its not longer term; this lad has the X Factor and was just starting to find his feet at league level. We have been unlucky with guys just starting to have an impact and then getting LT injuries... Walter and Barreau two others cut down whilst playing damn good footy at the league level.

Sunday Mail usually posts SANFL crowds in 2 spots
- summary block next to match report
- inside front page of sports liftout with ladder

Maybe each had a different number.
