Brooksby leaving will leave an enormous hole at South I'm afraid. A seriously good player .
Club is cash strapped. Working on an SANFL reduced salary cap like West and unable to attract recruits - and as one prospective recruit who ultimately ended up at another club was quoted as saying...."Its too far.."

I think you will find West are no longer operating under a reduced cap.

Very true. A hard opponent who gave his all,

Just read his letter on the Norwood web page, That is how to do it.

A quality person, Simon Phillips. One evening four years ago, about an hour and a half after the end of a Sturt vs Norwood (which we'd been pumped in!) League match at Unley, I ventured down into the opposition rooms to see what the state of the rooms were in and there was Simon Phillips, by himself, no-one else around, picking up all the tape/rubbish off the floor! I said, "Mate. You don't have to do that!" "Go and celebrate the win with your mates." He said, "No. It should be left as we found it." Stuck with me. Clearly a quality human being.

You hear and read so many bad things about elite sporting players.
It is refreshing to hear about someone who must be as good a person and he was an outstanding footballer
It is also great to read when opposition supporters commend such players

Great post

Yes I agree. But it's just a pity that he beat the Eagles a couple of times off his own boot!

Good luck to Jacko, I'm glad he didn't get picked up by either of the South Australian filth.
