Nothing against Izac Rankine nor do i cast any comment or aspersion against him or his character

I have been told that this payer presently undertaking a 3 game sanfl suspension is or has played in an afl afl sanctioned international? game.as part of the australian team.

If true how can this happen

What a farce iif true

Just read laws of game so (if information is true) seems an exemption to allow this sitution was granted -- i would like to know who and why, what was the justification

19.4.4 Effect of Suspension
(a) Unless Laws 19.4.4 (d) or 19.4.4 (e) apply, a Player or Official  suspended by a Controlling Body is, for the period of the  suspension, or while the suspension remains unserved, prohibited  from playing or participating in a Match conducted by the  Controlling Body imposing the suspension and a Match conducted  by any other Controlling Body.

You make the mistake in assuming that Izzy is there to play a game of football

... he isn't.

.... if he was he would be playing at the highest possible level ie SANFL league (Suspended).

He is there so he can be analysed and reanalysed by AFL recruiting teams.

You should understand that when you have a conflict between the needs of AFL clubs and the integrity of a state league competition that the AFL interests will always win.

Not right but not surprising.

thanks for reply mate but the person who informed me said that he was actually playing in the internatonal? game hence confusion.

in fact it is in rules of game that afl can approve this if they wish

Have I got your post right Phil? It reads like double talk, but I've come to expect that in AFL dealings with other leagues.
I think you've said that he's participating in a game of football, but because the AFL people are examining and evaluating him, he is therefore deemed as being analyzed rather than playing?

It was not an international game.

It was the AIS Academy Team playing in their annual clash against a VFL club.

Today's clash was against the new North Melbourne VFL side.

For the record, the AIS side won comfortably.

Hmmm, still a game governed by a controlling body.
Hence the needs of the AFL vs integrity of football factor.

Izak Rankine definitely didn't play in this match. There's photos kicking around with his SA team-mates but I dare say should he not have been suspended, then I have no doubt he actually would have played in this match.

I saw a photo of him in the fluro pink - looks like he acted as one of the team runners.
