Kicking in to the wind no less... although now I reckon it's blowing more across the ground.

I hope you stayed for the final term in the end, 'coz Norwood was superb. Played with a bit of hunger and made a contest out of everything. When one's team is up 12 goals to 4 at the 3/4 time break one should not expect to be nervous 15 minutes into the final term - but I was. Full marks to the 'legs for breathing a bit of life back in to the contest.

Nah, left at 3/4 time. Junk time goals when the game was done and dusted. 2nd and 3rd quarters were just pathetic and you guys deserved the win. Far better than us

It looked to me that the players decided to just play a natural attacking game of footy rather then all the "structured " stuff and was good to watch .

Glenelg look to be going alright . Lost to South from 1 bad quarter . Just got beaten by Port who many think are a certainty and were far the better team today.
It is looking like it is going to be a very close and open season which is great.

I don't think we'll lose many games at home this season. Just went down to a very strong Port last week and had a solid win and played some really good Football today. That Norwood run of goals in the last reminded me of a couple of years back when they almost ran us down in the last quarter in a game we had dominated, but fortunately today didn't get quite so close.

Eagles away next Sunday will of course be very tough, but we're playing with some confidence so hopefully we'll give it a real crack.

No getting away from how rubbish we were at Noarlunga. Hopefully that isn't a sign of how we will play away from home this season-at this stage I am hoping it was a one off. We will find out next week!

Today's crowd: 1,798.

It took you almost 4 years to post a comment and it’s about the crowd on a shitty night?

We have been pretty unlucky with the weather the last three times we've hosted Norwood unfortunately. Last year we hosted a Saturday night game against them on a very ordinary night, and the year before we had a hailstorm about an hour before the game. The 2016 game had a crowd of 1,482 and last year's had a crowd of 1,898. Very frustrating when all things being equal games v Norwood should probably be right up there as our biggest crowds for the season.
