Very pleasant day at Unley on Sunday. We have a terrific record there. Now if we could only take that record against sturt to Adelaide Oval............
Our pressure on the ball carrier was excellent and forced sturt into rushed disposals and ball handling errors. Poole is having an excellent season and I'm sure the deftness of Redden back in the side is helping this. Defence solid again. For once our on ballers took it up to sturt's and shaded them which hasn't always ben the case in the past. Sturt looked reactive apart from a period in the third quarter when they got the margin back to 18 points.
T Gray under a bit of pressure to perform whereas his mate Sharrad has been pretty good. Still early days though and we've been in this position before to no avail!

I think Tom has been very serviceable this season. I watched the game on digital so a complete perspective on the game can not be had, but I think Sturt was lucky to be as close. They seem to bottle themselves up in defence. The lost yards continually put them under pressure as the Eagle manned up well.
The match itself looked a good high class spectacle.

Sorry to disagree "goddy11" but Tom Gray has yet to play an above average game (mostly well below average). I feel at this stage Jimmy Rowe is a better player, he has a lot more tricks than Gray. When Petrenko and Sinor return Gray will be struggling to make the team. I can understand Godden giving Gray as much time as possible to find touch.
First game by Rudloff in the reserves on Sunday , looked very slow and out of touch.
Very happy with the team's attitude and aggression.

You might find that Rudloff might be back on the injury list again as per the club website.
