I don't get to any footy these days, SANFL or AFL. Too much on with work and kids.

So your post about not travelling south to the game for safety reasons was just a red herring then.

Not at all. Shocking part of the world i want nothing to do with.

South Adelaide could unleash another two youngsters from their local zone against Adelaide on Sunday.

Kangaroo Island product Coby Helyar, who hails from Dudley United FC, and Victor Harbor teenager Jackson Elmes have both been named on the five-man extended interchange bench.

They have been joined in the Panthers’ 23-man squad by reliable utility Scott Taylor, ruckman Alex Aurrichio and small forward Connor Fairlie, with Taylor set to line up in the back pocket.

Exciting forward Nathan Kreuger will miss due to concussion while Tate Coleman has been called in to the McDonald’s SA Under-18 team to face Victoria Country on Sunday.

Forward Liam Fitt will miss one match after accepting his one-match ban for engaging in rough conduct at the SANFL Incident Review Panel.

F: Hunter, Davis, Rankine

HF: Noble, Haren, Biemans

C: Haines, Heaslip, Brown

HB: Redigolo, Cailotto, Fields

B: Taylor, Crabb, Summerton

R: Brooksby, Cross, Liddle

INT: Szust, Aurrichio, Fairlie, Helyar, Elmes

IN: Taylor, Aurrichio, Fairlie, Helyar, Elmes

OUT: Kreuger (concussion), Fitt (suspended), Coleman (McDonald’s SA U18)

Under-18
F: Bogle, Freitag, Wade
HF: Gregory, Marshman, Beeche
C: Renney, Spinks, Coulthard
HB: Manuel, Austin, Robertson
B: Juckers, Douglass, Irra

R: Wood, Lovering, Davies
INT: Short, Oliver, Bradford, Draper, Dowling, Burns

Seriously this Ravens crap is getting old. They are the crows. Just like Port are power and not magpies and shouldnt be called magpies. Most of us crows supporters follow an SANFL club like I do with Norwood so that is why there is no support. I support both but most people wouldnt. The preference for me would be an AFL Reserves comp. This though would destroy the SANFL even more as the AFL clubs would need larger lists and where do you think they will get the players from. From the SANFL, WAFL NEAFL etc. This would destroy the SANFL even more as it would become nothing more than an amatuer league comp. So people wanting crows and port out be careful on what you wish for as it will happen soon and the SANFL will be worse for it all though crows and port will become better for it.

Some punters would like to go to games where sides are actually trying to win. If that meant a reduction in standard would it bother supporters that much?

I have rotten feeling about this game, i can see a Crows win here if the South boys think it's an easy game and play accordingly, the Crows are not as bad as their record shows particularly with their 'INS" this week and South's "OUTS". In tough conditions on Sunday this game is 50/50.

I think South have a pretty healthy respect for their opponents and this will serve them well in coming months. Will hopefully beat this mob by a bigger margin than last time.

I suspect that the fact that it is a Sunday game will see the 857 figure (officially, at least) from R3 overshadowed. Like R3, this is not one of the C***s seven (in number, not the channel) TV games. Similar weather conditions (?) to R3 as well think.

Feel a bit the same. Our record against the RAVENS is modest, despite beating them earlier in the year. Our few wins against them over the years have always felt like hard work and have required a last quarter rush on a few occasions (cue in rack time for the pros?). The loss of Krueger and Fitt shouldn't be underestimated, especially with Haren still struggling for form.

200+ more disposals in favour of South too!
