Glenelg has regained a star forward for its final clash of the season against Sturt on Sunday.

Josh Scott, who has served his two-match suspension with the SANFL IRP, has been named at centre half-forward.

Scott and fellow Tiger Terry Milera trail Sturt’s Mark Evans by five goals in the race for the Ken Farmer Medal.

Crumbing midfielders Darcy Bailey and Josh Koster have also been called into the Bays’ 23-man squad, which must be trimmed by two before the bounce.

Consistent midfielder Jonty Scharenberg is expected to be sidelined for 8-10 weeks as he recovers from a knee injury suffered in the opening minute of the win against Adelaide in Round 18.

Sturt coach Marty Mattner could be tempted to have another two BankSA Rookies against Glenelg on Sunday.

Fahey-Sparks (196cm and 92kg) provides cover for the absence of Tom Read, who will miss with an ankle injury while Lewis is a strongly-built midfielder who was a member of the leadership group for the McDonald’s SA U18 team.

Utility Joel Thiele and medium-sized forward Rory Taggert have also been called up to the 23-man squad, with the latter a potential replacement for Jake Sutcliffe, who has also injured his ankle.

No disrespect to glenelg but our Focus is on the following week. But the boys will still want to win for Kirkwood’s 100th game

Sturt are the first current top three side the Tigers have played since losing to the Eagles in R12.

Since losing in close to Centrals at Elizabeth in R13, the Tigers are now on a five game winning streak, including both of this year's Elimination Finallists by a few points each. Comfortable wins against West, the Power Reserves and the Ravens.

However, I think Sturt will win by two to three goals.

Post number 1000. Hooray for me. :D

Mark Evans wins the Ken Farmer medal with only 40 goals. Is that the lowest tally ever to win the goal kicking ?

Would easily be the lowest since being named the Ken Farmer medal.
Spelly might know but I’d think it would be the lowest goal tally by the leading goal kicker in the SANFL since the early 1920’s or 30’s

It might be the lowest tally to win the KFM but wouldn't be anywhere near the lowest tally to win the goalkicking.

Ten goals was a big season back in the nineteenth century.

Roy Bent in 1921 with 28 goals was the last time anyone kicked lower than 40 to lead after the minor round.
