Pointless fact- have played cricket with and against Peter in the hills. Seemed like a nice guy.

Fingers crossed Liddle can take home the medal.

As much as I loved giving him shit he was a pretty good footballer who on his day could take a game by the scruff of the neck.
Well done on being inducted Doreen ;)

Liddle a good chance.
We will have too many guys stealing votes off each other I think.
Would love to see Mitch go B2B though

Harry “the horse” Kernahan.
His induction has taken far too long.

How about dropping the karaoke crap and just do the votes and presentations.

NO, not enough silliness in the counts these days. All too serious and about the ladies . Who gives a f**** what they're wearing. Used to be much more humour back in the day.

Play on, I say - I wonder who they'll get for the other clubs :D

Grigg up by 6 at this stage ahead of Liddle and in a strong position.

Grigg has at least 3 BOGs for the remainder of the season plus a few 1s and 2s up his sleeve. Not sure Lids has enough.

And just like that, Grigg is stuck on 14 after Round 11 and Lids is up to 18.

Lids might get a vote next round as he was clearly our best in our close loss to Centrals and Grigg was well off the best in their win against Port. Round's 13 to 16 Grigg could poll in every match I reckon whereas Lids is unlikely to poll in any.

Anyone who thought Grigg and Panos would be taking votes off each other...I thought they both could have tied for it, given they are always up there in the possession list. Anyway, congrats to Grigg on back to back.

Magarey Medal night also sees this being brought back...again:

2nd or 3rd placings by Eagles players:
1993 - Shayne Breuer (eq 2nd)
1996 - Andrew Payze (eq 3rd)
1999 - Rhett Biglands (eq 3rd)
Justin Cicolella (eq 3rd)
2000 - Gavin Colville (2nd)
2002 - Justin Cicolella (3rd)
2003 - Justin Cicolella (3rd)
2004 - Gavin Colville (eq 2nd)
2005 - Luke Powell (3rd)
2006 - Justin Cicolella (eq 2nd)
2015 - Angus Rowntree (2nd)
2016 - Nick O'Brien (2nd)
Jared Petrenko (eq 3rd)
James Boyd (eq 3rd)
2018 - James Boyd (eq 3rd)

The 22 votes by Boyd is the most an Eagles player has polled in a year, Colville in 2004 and Rowntree in 2015 got 21 each. As an aside, Boyd has polled the 2nd most votes by a Central player in a year in 2012, (26) but was ineligible that year as the leading votegetter.
