What would you like to see changed/added to this site to make it something we'd all be proud of and something we'd use constantly?
Im thinking live scoreboards and player stats, and perhaps a revamp in its look/setup.

Any other thoughts?

Its terribly slow in getting full match details uploaded and doesn't give us
attendance figures at all.
Getting some more historical stats like the WAFL site has would be appreciated by
stats nuts like myself.

1) Downloads of matches within 24 hours of their completion. Even just being able to download the ABC match of the day would be good. There's seriously bugger all technical costs associated with doing this. A standard home PC can capture video perfectly, and american based webhosts offer reasonably priced high bandwidth/transfer packages. This is something that looks too hard to the 60yo farts upstairs, but can be done easily.

2) Live and comprehensive match stats with crowd figures etc. That's prbably in the 'too hard' basket as well, judging by how long it takes for the current site to update...

3) Show the live streaming audio links (RPH and Life FM) on the SANFL site, so people actually know it's there! Every round you get people asking about this sort of stuff on fan forums - shouldn't the SANFL web site answer questions like this, instead of relying on the fan sites as a safety net?

4) More comprehensive historical stat database, ala this AFL site: http://cromulent.freehosting.net/afl/afl_index.html

This is simply off-the-cuff - I'm not a regular visitor to the site but in no particular order, here goes....

More in the way of tribunal updates

More clarity about rules - eg eligibility for reserves finals, AFL players eligibilities etc

A few more 'intimate' columns, eg "Ask Paul Anderson", "Ask Shane Harris"

SANFL website to be a major sponsor of C31 "Total SANFL" (or even just a sponsor?)

A 'where are they now?' type column

More links to complimentary sites

Results from other affilliated leagues

A fans MVP award (similar to club forums POTY awards but a 'whole of comp' approach) with on-line voting - an award which could be presented on Magarey Medal night?

Use of the website by the SANFL to consult with fans about changes, new initiatives, etc.

More information about the AFL's contribution to our local league - what is it?

A opportunity to view/download highlights/great games - put up a different one each week to encourage people to regularly check in to the site.

NB all of the above is in reference to the SANFL comp, not the Almost Football League teams.

All good Troy. How about :
6. Updates on how SA players in the AFL are doing e.g. Ryan Griffin, Adam Cooney etc as I only watch the AFL to see how the local kids are doing.
7. Interviews with Legends, Club Officials, fans and so on
8. Each players ongoing stats eg. Seasons Games and Total Games played, Seasons Goals and Total Games, Frees for and frees against and so on. If the stats are available for the Budget, they should be able to be used on the site.
9. Media coverage details for games, eg Rd. 23 South Vs Glenelg, Adelaide Oval. ABC 2.30 pm. Life FM 2.10 pm (maybe that could be added to the schedule.

And their GF Football Budget kills ours as well, but that's another issue.
