Hi Guys,

I was going through the user lists on http://www.ozcollins.com/pantherbb this morning and I picked up on something you might want to check out.
Every week on the same day for the last 4 weeks I have had a new member sign up that appears to be a web robot/spider of some description. The user name comprises random 6-8 characters and the email and web adddresses supplied are nonexistant but are all in the .info domains.
I have deleted the members and am looking for a way to block .info addresses from my userlist.
The Older I get the BETTER I WAS!!!!

Thanks for that, SO64.

You may already know this, but under Ban Control in the Admin section, you can specify email names to ban, using * to cover any from that address: eg

*@abcdef.info

*@abcdef.com

etc, etc.

This is a problem for all phb bulletin boards - lots of dodgy scripts going around the net, including ones that register accounts and start spam threads. Annoying.
