The third man up rule completely stuffed this up. It would alleviate congestion in an instance.

Good win, Sturt would have said the same if they'd got up, probably deserved to be a draw. Reckon Sturt's big fella (Read?) was denied what looked a pretty clear mark straight in front near the death. Thank God I dont have to listen to these dumbasses on the DP anymore!

You can have a third man up in SANFL (different rule to AFL), so not sure this comment is correct.

Our best football is nearly unstoppable. Unfortunately we only produce it for 15 minutes a game, the rest of the time we revert to chippy, chippy negative garbage.

Norwood are 3-0 and have won by 5, 3 and 5 points.

Only kicked 30 goals in three games, don't know if that negative style of footy Cotton coaches can win a Premiership, similar to last year.

I said when he was first appointed that we wouldn’t win one under him. Atleast last year we were averaging over 100 points a game. This year is just terrible to watch so far

It's not a negative style like the Bassett era, we had our only 2 key forwards out tonight and Sturt are strong defensively. Im not worried about the style producing enough scoring opportunities, more whether we have the skill level to play it well enough. When we make errors the opposition usually have a decent run at goal themselves.

Early doors mate, we've played some good sides already and had a few injuries, to be 3-0 is a fair effort. Jury out on the style for sure, but it's not all doom and gloom as many seem to think.

We have the most talented list in the comp and we are playing an absolute shit style of football for 80-90% of games. We play some beautiful football when we run and play through the middle but inevitably we revert to the backwards kicking and chipping it around the boundary crap.

I thought Sturt set up beautifully without the ball, looked to jam the space up. Unfortunately we didn't capitalise in the second quarter, kept norwood within striking distance and paid the price.

I'm stoked that I'm able to finally get to the footy in light of my working roster over the last few weeks. Looking forward finally seeing some new lads in action.

In the same round last year I had the 'Dogs winning comfortably versus West at home after North, whom the CDFC had beaten comfortably at home in the opening round, went on to tear West a new pooper one at Prospect in round 2. How wrong I was.

However, I've got faith in our boys to get the job done today. 39 points.

HT

Glg 2.3 (15)
SA 4.9 (33)

South should be 5 goals up, very wasteful in forward half. After 9 goals last week, donuts for McBean at the break.
