A man took his wife and kids for a to the pictures on a Sunday arvo.
When the movie finished as they all walked out the husband says
" Centrals beat Eagles in the Grand Final today."
The wife says: " How the hell do you know that weve been at the pictures all day?"
" Because its 5 oclock!!!!!!!!!"

I'll pay that.
Haven't seen today's effort yet, but after what I've read and after what I saw last week I can't see The Eagles getting closer than 45 points. Would love them to (for their sake as much as an interesting SANFL), but can't see it happening.

I've seen far too much footy to believe this match is a foregone conclusion. I recall 2002 when nobody gave Sturt a realistic chance, and yet they won easily. Then there was 1978 when Sturt lost only 1 game for the year but went down to Norwood by 1 point. Then there was 1994 when the Eagles were the red hot favourite and Port came home in the 2nd half to win. Grand Finals are won on the day, not over a season. I agree Central would be favourites, but to dismiss Eagles' chances entirely would be negligent. I tip Central by 10 points.

Colville looked a bit sore and Inkster was carrying a leg injury all day.Does Fuller do a Jarman and go into the GF with suspect players(I know thats the whole team on GF day) but i am talking about injuries.

BUT dont write them off yet, they have to win one sooner or later and it could very well be this week.

I am an Eagles supporter and I'm telling you they can't win..
teams need to take marks inside their 50m to win games.... The Eagles couldn't do it the last 2 weeks...
also, with clouds over fitness of Inkster and Colville, how can they win??

Colville came off right where I was sitting, he has more than just a sore shoulder

IF they get Knighta back, they may only lose by 40.

the EAGLES CANT WIN next week as they have the bulldog fright!!!!!!!!

also they spent most of the last 1/4 trying to hang onto the game rather then win it, they lead by 29 points at one stage and looked like running away with it.

well done to NORTH who kept battling away.

From what I saw today the Eagles will unfortunatley not get within a bulls roar of the doggies. Not good for the competition but Centrals by 8 goals plus. Maybe the guard will change in 2007.

Crap, it is setting a standard for other clubs to match, Centrals are the benchmark up to the rest of us to improve to beat them.

I believe my club is trying to do that but we still have a long way to go on the journey....

The Eagles win, make their way into their 3rd consecutive GF and your congratulating North Adelaide. You are a poor excuse of a human being. North only got so close because we took our foot off the pedal in preperation of yet another GF. Come back with apost next time which isn't so full of shit.

Try being an optimist for a start. Belief not only has to come from within the players themselves but all of our supporters as well. So stop being so negative and get off your ass and support your club otherwise you'd better be served spending your time finding another club to support. My tip is an Eagles win by 19 pts.
