Eagles were quite impressive in the second half last week. Centrals played three quarters, showing they can do it. It's a tough one.
Haven't seen the teams yet, at this stage Eagles by 2 goals.

CENTRAL
Central coach Roy Laird has resisted swinging the changes ahead of the clash with the Eagles on Saturday.
Despite not scoring a goal in the first half against Sturt in Round 8, Laird has opted to show faith in his charges and could take in an unchanged line-up.

Former Power defender Jimmy Toumpas has been sidelined by a hamstring strain suffered against South in Round 8 while James Rowe couldn’t recover from a shoulder injury stemming from the same match.

Good to see Cooper Dahms named in reserves for his first game in 12 months (knee recon). Reckon someone named in reserves won't be playing tomorrow.

Play 2 rucks and leave Fraser as a stay at home full forward. Use Menzel as a leading CHF if we must persist in playing small up forward and plonk the resting ruck in a pocket. Get in Izzy's ear and tell him to pull his finger out and stay under their feet. He can make an impact when he wants to. That will give us half a show.

Centrals are a bit rubbish at the moment which is bad for the comp in my opinion ad a Centrals team up and about brings a bit of excitement.
So the Eagles by about 5 goals.

They had more than long enough at the top. I’m happy for them to to wallow around the bottom for atleast another 10-15 years [emoji3]

Sorry Jim, we spent enough time as a mid table underachiever for three and a half decades while the the league continued on its decades old predictable existence the same handful of sides taking a majority of Grand Final spots between them - with the attention commensurate with their large followings.
The CDFC has spent long enough time over recent years away from the podium. It's not as if having two of another league's seconds sides in our competition grabbing disproportionate TV coverage during the regular season wasn't bad enough.
With all due respects.

More potency up forward this week, they're getting too many easy options on the rebound. Jenner and Barreau showed in that quarter a fierce attack on the ball has its rewards. Fatten and Seb killing us in ruck.

Should have been playing league, why he didn't get picked I can't fathom.

Falkenberg kicked 5 in the magoos today, showed a bit last year, should be looked at for a go in the ones. We have nothing to lose, we've bottomed out.
