I was overwhelmed with the amount of phone calls I got after the game today by Dogs fans (and fans of other clubs such as Norwood and West) saying how disappointed they were that there would be another GF with no atmosphere and against a team with no heart and how they wanted North to win to have a decent fight for a change and have a GF with atmosphere which they haven't experienced yet.
Dogsbosdy, etc, thanks I appreciated the calls and good luck next week, thanks for the calls when I was down, it was appreciated.

Full marks to the Central fans I talked to today, they knew they were in for more of a fight if North got through and they genuinely wanted North to get through to have a decent GF, I couldn't imagine being in a position to wanting a GF where I thought the other team had a chance but they were all that way inclined.

Oh dear once again wedgie the dickhead of sanfl football sites having another cry. thats a bit rough eagleye, i have met wedgie only briefly but from all accounts he is a popular and well respected guy around sanfl circles (wouldnt be too hard to find if you were fair dinkum) he is obviously shattered by todays result and like i said they were lucky to get as close as they did but your abuse is not justified.

Guys, Im sorry that came across the wrong way, 99% of the Eagles fans today were fantastic.

I spent the last quarter with my mate Wessie who's deaf and in a wheel chair and I carried on like an absolute idiot for 5-10 minutes to some Eagles fans around me. I then realised that my emotions had got the better of me and I apologised to them and they respected the fact that I spent the last 25 minutes of our season with my arm around a really good friend of mine. The Eagles supporters near me then were really good in realising I had stuffed up but accepted it and I appreciate that.

Yes I am a dickhead, Im the first to admit that, and I thank you to the support I got today, I was in tears for most of the last quarter as Im a very emotional person, I didn't mean my orignal post to be a downer to the Eagles supporters, it was just an honest post.

Eagleeye, I dont exactly hide behind my camera as most people know me and I apologise if my post came across the wrong way. Im not exactly sure why Im a poor excuse for a person but anyway Im prepared to let bygones be bygones and I wish you luck next week.

A big thank you to Westies Sarge and Tazz the Norwood supporter who were there to lend a shoulder to me when I was crying like a baby in the last half today.

And just in regard to Eagleeye's post, the best team did win today, there's no doubting that, the Eagles were awesome and the way they keep coming back after being knocked to the ground is a credit to them and their club.

from the debacle of 2004 to front up in the GF in 2005

they would not have rebounded from another debacle last week
to win today.

Yes the SANFL world would love the Eagles to just dissapear and let someone else have a crack

All they have to do is knock us out in the finals
but they have been as incapable of that over the past 3 years
as we have of getting past the Bulldogs in finals.

Maybe that sad fact is just starting to sink in to the like of Port & North supporters.
