He is an assistant/development coach there.

I could be wrong

But he was at CIBO on the Parade.

IF he's gonna coach Centrals, why would he be on The Parade.

Big Phil doesn't live in Norwood any more, that's why he doesn't get any inside scoops now

Centrals Facebook page

“On behalf of the Central District Football Club, we would like to announce our new Full-time Senior Coach, Jeff Andrews.

Jeff has been an assistant coach at the Werribee Football Club for the past two seasons, coaching under Mark Williams in 2019.

He also boasts previous experience in the state-league system, having served as an assistant coach with Preston in the VFL in 1999 and as an assistant coach with the Calder Cannons TAC Cup program in two stints from 2000 to 2005. He then took a break from coaching to focus on his business ventures.

He then returned to coaching where it all started at the Macedon Football Club in 2014, where he broke a 41 year premiership drought in his third season as Senior Coach.

Jeff said he is excited for the adventure of moving to Adelaide with his wife, and the opportunity to coach and be among a Club with such a great involvement in the surrounding areas.

"I love the professionalism of coaching at a State League Club and the challenge of facing teams with AFL listed players."

President David Cavenett said "I am pleased to welcome Jeff Andrews as the senior coach of the CDFC. Jeff's Energy, preparation and attention to detail was clearly evident during the interview process and has left us in no doubt that he is prepared and ready to lead this Football Club back into contention."

"We welcome Jeff and his wife Cathy to the CDFC and look forward to assisting Jeff in getting this Club back to finals football."

Very interesting stuff, I'm definitely not naming any players but it's interesting to hear some of the players' names that are considering returning to Centrals, some recently left, some a few year's ago.

I hope this comes to fruition, Gaz. I like what you're saying.

Ex Carlton coach Brenton Boltons comments https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-12-08/ ... h/11770076
made me think about how much pressure Roy was under in the last few seasons. Makes it easier to understand why he didn't go to this years B&F.

Hannath considered it but didn't like the way he was "moved on"
Sam Hanna said he will return in 2021,
Butcher is back but in a coaching role only,
Milne is back,
we are still negotiating with someone else (would be a very good pick up if we do take him back),

Ben Nason? Coming back for his 4th or 5th stint at Centrals?

Disappointing with Hannath as we really don't have a quality ruckman.
It's a pity that Butcher won't play,is it a definite no to playing.

Does James Boyd still play? He's wouldn't be worth it anymore

Milne back
Butcher back
Boyd back
Hanna back
that's a good start!
