We were found wanting last week right from the start. Need to win this.

South by 3 goals.

Unfortunately I can’t see South getting the win. Eagles in great form and their line up is even stronger now with their ins. Their amount of talls is going to be hard to combat. Eagles by plenty and South to drop out of finals contention.

South have a tough run home so think this is pretty much a mini-GF for them. They've done bloody well this season with the resources they have, but unfortunately I can't see them getting past a very good Eagles side.

Not by a point? Must be feeling confident :-k

There have been numerous times under Wright when we've needed to respond after a poor showing, and more often than not we have. Need to also atone for a very poor showing at Woodville not that long ego.

Pretty much do or die for both sides, esp the Eagles who, if they lose this are probably out of contention with games v Sturt, Port and Adelaide still to come.

Expecting ordinary conditions at best on the hill tomorrow with massive wind chill factor!

Close game all day, Eagles got out by 3 goals midway through the last and we fought back but too little too late. Once again more scoring shots without getting the win is disappointing especially at home. HUGE game at The Parade next week.

Another frustrating loss. After a tight first half South shot out to a 20 point lead nearing time on the third quarter, before WWT kicked 7 of the next 8 goals. South kicked a couple late, but squandered a few other chances late and repeatedly fed the Eagles half back line with ineffective kicks down the line.

Davis another huge game in the middle, Cross didn't have a huge day possession wise but he made them count, while Summerton, Cailotto and Haines were also named in the club's best.

It was a good day to have a first name starting with J for the Eagles, with J. Petrenko, J. Foote, J. Lonergan, J. Firns, J. Rowe, J. Boyd named their best.

South have now featured in 5 games decided by under a goal, for 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses

Yes, thought the same. Looking at our past 4 home games (of which we've lost 3) our opposition have made the most of their chances:

South 48.41 (54% conversion)
Opposition 56.30 (65%)

Without knowing the league wide stats, would imagine 65% is well above the average conversion.

I don't think it was your shots at goals but South seem to control most of the game. Time on in the 3rd 1/4 and 20 minutes of the last is just about all the Eagles controlled. South need to make Panther Park a fortress. They are certainly a good side.
