Interesting, mind you there is no reason why B grade and junior grades could play, is nice to have a weekend off though.

I think it was a big FU aimed at the SACFB

Part of the consideration was so that the season could finish a week earlier and cricket clubs could start to work on their wickets a week earlier. It was also to give councils an extra week in between seasons to do maintenance on ovals. It all helps to keep the ovals in tip top condition for football and the BLGFA is to be commended on their attitude towards the council and the cricket association. Every one working together gives the best possible chance of ovals not turning to a mud heap during the football season especially with increased traffic these days of women's and junior football.
Im sure they were also happy to say FU to the CFB.

yeah they'll still probably provide over half the whatever zone we are in at the moment. Isnt it great how they put all the irrelevant games in the one place at the same time

Yep that will stick it right up them

If your comp was serious they wouldn't supply players.

Port to get the win here. Adelaide due for a loss, may have a couple out and Port look very strong.

Adelaide have taken extra players to the Gold Coast in prep for their game there. They wont be at full strength like recent weeks. Port easy.

Port will keep 1 or 2 out for Sunday's game as emergencies.

More views and posts about this game than any other this week.

Yet only 3 relate to the game itself, even the SANFL showdown plays 2nd fiddle to the country championships.

I wonder if the country football club will run out of pies - and if it doesn't, could one be purchased via EFTPOS?

Yes but they will only keep two extras as per the norm. Port will have two held back for Sunday as well. Crow will have four fly back tomorrow to play Saturday. We know Sauce is one of them. Pykey already said he will come back.

Side could be something like

SANFL
F Matthews Jenkins Wright
HF Douglas Fogarty Macadam
C Merrett Wilson Mackay
Hb Hamil Butts Sholl
B Latchford Davey MacPherson
Ruck Jacobs Gibbs Jones
Inter Hunter, Hutcheson, Strachan

AFL
F Stengle Himmelberg Betts
HF Murphy Walker Gallucci
C Sloane Crouch Seedsman
HB Milera Talia Smith
B Brown Hartigan Keath
Ruck O'Brien Crouch Greenwood
Inter Knight, Davis, Kelly, Laird
Emer - Atkins, Otten,

Wow that AFL forward line is terrible. 2 years ago the best in the comp now one of the worst.

@Sib who is the Matthews you refer to? I don't recall a Matthews playing for Adelaide this season?
