Shocker, everyone was looking to see if the mark dead in front would be paid.
Push in the back?
Couldn't see it on the replay either, maybe something missed by the naked eye and the replay?
There's at least one, just as mystifying decision on the way to the resulting Norwood goal.
Talk about a momentum killer!
Having said that, Norwood, too much pace, precision and strong marking. I reckon we punched above our weight to get so close..
Norwood are damn good and could go all the way.
Though watching the Bays choke IS the subscript we all expect, I reckon I want them to win out of those that are left.
Congrats Norwood, too good today.
Thanks Jack Stephans, a champion and will be remembered.

Why would they do that?

Hard to fathom.

The hate amongst the fans for the two AFL reserves sides is very real

They mentioned on the SEN coverage that Hinkley's mug was up on the big screen at one stage and the crowd were less than charitable.[/quote]
Yeah Hinkley’s mug got a boo and they showed a couple of shots of Magpie and Ravens players watching the game and that was greeted with boos and plenty of expletives

100%, Sturt had all the running when that phantom push was paid. Would’ve put you within 3 points?
Two goal swing which threw everything back in Norwood’s favour.
I agree that whilst Norwood were better for longer, that doesn’t automatically give you the win though.

No idea of the crowd number but it is at least half now . Hinkley and Ports sudden interest in the COMP didn't work .

Never mind the skewed centre bounces that weren't recalled and resulted in Norwood goals.
TBH I think Sturt dominated possession for long periods of the game. Just couldn't put it on the board...and not for the first time this season.
Congrats to the Legs..hoping they can appear in the GF vs the tiges and put on a good show

Too far behind too many times to make a real charge at it. Sturt had to fight so hard to get within two goals on a few occasions and three or four times in the second half it felt like Norwood were one goal away from making a break again.

Did this game actually take place?

You'd never know from the coverage in the Tiser.

One article on clowns reserves, one on smears reserves, two pics of clowns/smears action. Even a Glenelg article.

Nothing about Sturt-Norwood outside of the scores box.

Which is sad because it was a really good game. A couple of Port folk sitting behind us from the start mentioned it was the best game they had seen at AO all year and they were serious.

Yes they were.
They were very nice people actually. Both were Ultimate Port members and attend all Power home games and Magpies games. And to top it off they both had Maggies attire on :)
