That's a good argument if they played their best 22 in the SANFL

So what was the value of the Port side that played in the GF compared to Glenelg?
Marshall and Frampton alone are nearly worth more than the SANFL salary cap so whilst two clubs operate under a different set of rules I’m more than happy for all clubs to follow suit and break the cap

It's an irrelevant point, they have to pay them that much, they don't necessarily want to or can afford to. I'll say this for the 110th time just because they're classified professional and are of high pay, doesn't mean they're league standard. You can have Johnson, Pudney, Grundy, Hewett, etc and so forth and pay them 80k if you like. Do you think that makes them league standard and walk-ins to your side.

News Flash: There's only 21 players per team in the S.A.N.F.L.
Wouldn't put it past the Evil Empire to play 22 though. ;)

Liam Buxton

Liam played 15 games for the Casey Demons in the VFL in 2019 after being recruited from Vermont in the Eastern Football League where he won a Premiership alongside ex Eagle Andrew Ainger in 2018. The 199cm Ruck/Key Forward will look to work in tandem with Jarrad Redden in the ruck whilst also providing another great marking option up forward alongside the Hayes brothers.

On Liam's signing CEO Luke Powell said, “Liam is a fierce competitor and very strong in the air. We feel that Liam can play a big role in seeing us bounce back quickly to finals football in 2020. His ability to play both in the ruck and up forward will give the team greater flexibility next year.”

On his signing Liam said “I am really looking forward to joining the Eagles in 2020 and testing myself in the SANFL competition. After coming across to Adelaide a few weeks ago and speaking to Jade, Luke and a few of the players, I got to experience the professionalism of the Club and felt the Eagles were the best fit for me. I can’t wait to get started.”

Liam will be over for a couple of weeks of the Pre-Season prior to Christmas before fully relocating in the new year.

Please join us in welcoming Liam to the Club

Thankfully the most obvious problem the Eagles had hasn’t gone unresolved with this guy set to give Sheedy some
much needed key forward options.
The Bays proved 3 talls is the way take on anyone in this league.
Can Powell now pull off the key signing of Broadbent who would be a very nice fill in for Paul Stewart,
who was desperately missed last season.

"The West Adelaide Football Club are pleased to announce that Josh Koster will be in red and black in 2020. Josh has played his football at Glenelg and narrowly missed out on playing in Glenelg’s 2019 grand final.

Possessing blistering pace and strong willingness to pressure the opposition, the 21 year old possesses much needed attributes for our squad. On the signing, League coach Gavin Colville said, “we are very pleased to welcome Josh to our Club. He has displayed a keenness to further his football development and we know West Adelaide is a great fit for him going forward”.

The promising junior who has now played 29 league matches is originally from PHOS Camden Football Club and attended Sacred Heart College where he played in their first XVIII.

Welcome to Westies Josh"

Hasn’t Douglas scored a player/coaching gig with Hawthorn?

Tbe North Adelaide Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Billy Hartung for season 2020.
Billy, 24 years old, 177cm & 78kg, played 76 AFL games for Hawthorn (63 games) and the Kangaroos (13 games) between 2014-2018.
Billy is a natural midfielder who has elite endurance and good skills by hand and foot.
He is very professional in his preparation and he will complement our current list with his hard running style of play.
New Senior Coach had these words about the addition of Billy;
"Billy is a very professional young man who is driven to get the best out of himself and his football. Billy wants to improve all aspects of his game and will bring great versatility and leadership to our playing group. We are delighted to have him and his partner Bel joining our family here at the North Adelaide Football Club."
We would like to welcome Billy and his partner Bel to the Rooster family and look forward to watching him showcase his talents in the red and white in season 2020.
