Yeah I find Davis being named Sturts best strange. Was that from the SFC ? I find that amazing if true.

South are a good team and with a shorter season should go close I reckon this year.Broadbent plays that sweeping role so I can see him being cut out of the game later on.
South are shy on money yet ran out of some food in the reserves ????? They certainly dont do it well down there .

Yeah Sturt named Davis best..

Where are all the Sturt posters?
One would think they’re front runners... ;)

I thought Sturt had a number of good players. Battersby and Kirkwood gave them plenty, Fahey Sparks in the ruck was good and Tom Lewis tried his guts out. Davis was versatile and got to plenty of contests.

I also thought that Sturt got little out of a couple, Aidyn Johnson looked well off the pace and Sumner was caught four times (3 by McCreery) with the ball after having plenty of time.

South also had a number of players that had at best quiet games. Dumesny, Noble and Ellsworthy in particular whilst Loneragan struggled after 2 hits to the head.

In the end, happy to beat Sturt and keep the season going. I am sure we have the worst record against them head to head so will take the wins when we get them.

West will be a good test this week after there encouraging win over Glenelg.
