North to be too structured and drilled here, by 19 pts (it never gets old)….
It certainly doesn't. It is 38 years (twice times 19) since Norwood had 19 men on the field in the second semi final against Port for over 5 minutes and you are still bringing it up.
Norwood, of course, won that game by 19 points.
19...
I was at that game oblivious as to what happened at the time
NW 19-6
PA 14-17
A margin of that number 19...
game was played on september 19 ...
NW had 19 players on the field for a duration of about 5 minutes
NW realised the boo boo and Andrew Aish was the player that came off
Andrew didnt go through the interchange gate and I reckon he was not allowed to come back on ?
Neil Balme was interviewed and confirmed what happened
Gentleman Jack Cahill in a postscript said he would have hated to win a game by calling for a count
In that 5 minutes 19 Norwood players vrs 18 Port Adelaide players , PA scored 3-1 , with one player less !
And off course 3-1 converted to points = 19 points ...
In round 1 that season
GL 17-13
NW 14-12
a margin of 19 points ...
