Here we go again. Another finals series....

The reigning premiers come off a solid win against Sturt whilst South had a solid 7 goal win against North,

Games were split this year but the game at Adelaide was won by Glenelg but were nearly caught from 7 goals down in the last quarter.

Like the other game, plenty for selectors to think about.

You are the first person anywhere that reckons we’ll win.
Everyone has just accepted South will go through to the Prelim.

Believe me there would not be one South supporter who would even consider the prelim final destiny is a lay down given, all Southies are sh!tin bricks about the first semi against the current premiers, this will be one tough game.

I'd have South as warm favorites based on current form, but the Bays cannot be discounted on the grounds that they're there and defending their premiership. Anyone's game, it's finals time.

Agree. Crapping myself this week. Going to be a tough one. Bays have some quality players with a few freshened up from missing last week.

A dry day would suit us better than a wet one. Unfortunately it sounds like it might get a bit damp.

Definitely not a given this one !
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Bays by 4 goals. Won’t be overawed by the ‘big’ stage!

One of the unexpected bonuses of this season is that every team has played at the finals venue a couple of times already. Don't reckon any team will be overawed by the occasion.

South is Glenelg's current bogey team and would be a very warm favourite to win this.

The weather forecast, if you can believe it, looks like it will be a fairly ordinary day, slippery, wet and the ball on the ground a fair bit.
Theres not too many games post August that South have gone in as favourites in recent decades, but it seems they are in this one.
I expect a very tough encounter against our near neighbours, but i think we can get over the line by 7 pts.

15-25mm predicted at this stage, and I was thinking it was going to be hot and dry during the finals!

I doubt he gets a game, but Jarrad Wright said that James Loneragan is back to full training this week after fracturing his back in round 10. So happy for him, that injury looked nasty. I was sitting just near where it happened and we all heard him when he tried to get up and run. Both South and Central supporters were yelling at the umpires to stop play because he was clearly not in a good way. Great news he’s recovered.

Glenelg has been South Adelaides bogey team at Adelaide Oval for at least this season ;)
