I think not no Holdens no money supporters dying off oh for the good old days.

Welcome!!!

Geez we had it good didn't we..... :D

I just want one more GF to really appreciate, i know personally as a supporter I got real complacent with the last GF, spent much of that day down in the bar enjoying the 'party'

With the average lifespan being under 80 years, 8 premierships is a lifetime's worth for the average supporter. Those of us who were born prior to 2000 have been blessed with witnessing 9 premierships from our beloved Doggies. As such, although additional premierships would be wonderful, I am pretty happy with what I have witnessed from our boys. The one thing I do ask though is competitiveness - finishing in the bottom two several years in a row is not a great feeling. It would be nice to go into matches truly believing we are a good chance of winning them.
Cheers

I sort of don't mind struggling at the moment, it will just make success in the future much more enjoyable.
And I also am very satisfied with witnessing 9 flags, especially after the preceding years.

I'm extremely satisified and many of my greatest memories in life revolve around Centrals GF's (build up, game day, post game celebrations). Made many long life friendships from that era as well.

I'm just annoyed at myself that I definitely took the last couple of GF's for granted....which I know I wouldn't do again if we ever made it.

Difficult (near on impossible) to see ANY club ever assembling and retaining such a dominant group for so long. Got a bit annoying at the time, but as with all great outfits good to look back on and appreciate you were lucky enough to witness something special.

For most of the 2000's my club was crap, so bowling up to finals to just have beers with mates was pretty cruisy.

But didn't you lose your last GF in 2011 to the Mighty Eagles?

We did.....but the premiers bar was just one big continuous party from 10am until the end of game regardless how Centrals performed. Then we had the 3 Palms Inn which will go down in history many of the antics that took place there before and after games.

Essentially drinking would normally take place after the GF parade/presentation on the Saturday and then not stop until Tuesday.

The 3 Palms Inn, venue of some legendary & infamous shenanigans.

I'll go way out on a limb here BUT I believe that we can win the next 5 matches!

We have an out of form South, at Elizabeth,
West at Richmond,
An out of form Sturt at Elizabeth,
Power reserves somewhere,
Norwood at Elizabeth,
Then Crows at Adelaide
and Glenelg at Elizabeth.

With Nietschke back & in great form, I'm sure he'll be back in the A's soon, possibly this weekend!
