Fair dinkum, one of Presbury, Spina or Voss are out, Cuz goes to that position and Maxy should be in!

I posted the same on Louts. Incredible omission.

You had enough Glenelg people on the panel with Capel and Millbank, Chandler even. They would have seen him play enough this year. Cant pick the whole team of Bays players  (do agree he should have been in though :D)

I like how the team of the year has a key at the bottom that explains the position abbreviations. Presumably for those footy fans who think 'HB' refers to a type of pencil.

Spina has had an absolutely outstanding season. He can't be an out. Even in the last couple of weeks when North were horrible he was very, very good.
On what I have seen of Prestbury and Voss they certainly deserve their position too.

On the subject of pencils
As Shakespeare said, "which pencil do I write with, 2B or not 2B that is the question".

Would be taking the $2.40 now, once they win easily they will be $1.60 for the GF!

$8 in a 3 horse race is not bad.

Glenelg captain Hugh Stagg has blitzed the field in winning the 2021 U18 McCallum Tomkins Medal.

Polling a huge haul of 28 votes, the strongly-built Tigers utility finished well clear of runner-up Hugh Jackson (North) on 19 and third-placed Dustin Launer (Eagles) on 17.

Originally from PHOS Camden FC, the 18-year-old attracted the attention of the umpires in 10 of his 14 matches this season, which included eight best-on-ground performances.

Averaging 24 disposals and kicking 24 goals for the season, Stagg – who also played four Reserves matches this year – finished the season like a steam train to poll three votes in Round 13, 15, 16, and 17.

Measuring in at 180cm and 79kg, Stagg is the first Glenelg player to win the McCallum Tomkins Medal since it became a combined award in 2009 for the start of the U18 competition.

Prior to 2009, the McCallum Medal was awarded to the best-and-fairest U17 player and the Tomkins Medal was awarded to the best-and-fairest U19 player.

2021 McCallum Tomkins Medal Leaderboard
PLAYER CLUB VOTES
Hugh Stagg Glenelg 28
Hugh Jackson North Adelaide 19
Dustin Launer Eagles 17
Cade Kennedy West 16
Charlie Pridham West 14
Kobe Ryan West 13
Darcy Gluyas Glenelg 12
Harvey Harrison North 12
Mattaes Phillipou Eagles 12

Brilliant 4 point win by the doggies reserves at Thebby today. Played quite skillfully with good pressure. Coming from fifth, an excellent effort. Luca Whitelum a player to watch in the future.

Luca should be in Perth playing for SA under 19s. Had a good year as undefeated captain for sacred heart first 18

No he shouldn’t.
Club comes before some Mickey Mouse practice game that the AFL puts on just to avoid boredom on GF day.
Glad Luca was helping his side through to a GF

I thought the loss of Grubb, Dudley and Linke to that game would really hurt us, boys did well to cover. There'll be some unlucky omissions for the gf.

How about Paul Thomas on the sidelines in last quarter sticking his arm out the try and hit an Eagles player. Didn't look great.

More like an elbow, bloody disgraceful. I believe the video of the game caught the action, would be good for the SANFL to have a look at it.

Like many things mentioned on the DP broadcasts over the weekend it was observed
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Agreed, a very shameful act that cannot be defended.
