It is still the "magpies". If not then the logic would decree that Port's AFL team is also no longer known as the "power" since they have removed that from their logo and as many other places as possible. Wanting to avoid using the term "power" as had this side effect for the magpies.. unfortunately

Not wishing to have port fans chase me with pitch forks
But couldn’t they just join the VFL be much simpler for Port and crows
Simpler for the SANFL last years was far better with out any AFL seconds players .

Why would the Magpies pay a massive cost in joining the VFL when they can play here for nothing. There are big expenses playing interstate every few week. I'm sure the Vic clubs wouldn't want to pay similar costs.

The VFL travel costs are all AFL funded.

That's interesting. If correct what do our 2 AFL clubs and WA clubs get out of it? It like free money . I notice the Swans, GWS,GCS and Brisbane are part of it. Are the Power and Crows getting some compo for it.

In a discussion yesterday after I called afl players in the sanfl rejects that went over like a lead balloon. Supposedly both port and crows and the SANFL signed a 15 year agreement. It’s binding until one or all of them want out .
Sorry to say but AFL fans still think the SANFL will fold with out both afl reject teams in the Comp
I say 2020 was a great even year without them .
