I’m no expert but if they continue to go sideways they’ll struggle to kick goals.
Get it going forward and take risks.

They stop rooting around with it and bang it forward and kick 3 goals in 5 minutes.
Who would of thought………….

Contrasted what had been happening at the other end in the prior 15 minutes of that third quarter.

A win’s a win and catapults us to the lofty heights of 7th on the ladder..but our ability to do the basics like consistently hit targets and take clean possession of the footy still is below average to say the least.
That aside some of the positives for me were Gillard finally converting potential into a match winning performance, the confidence and assurance of Matt Neagle in defence (and to a lesser extent Dylan Weaver) and the seriously untapped and exciting potential of Leek Aleer who acquitted himself superbly against quality opposition in defence in only his 3rd or 4th league appearance. Probably our most reliable kick today as well!
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Gillard a star.............
Average game of footy but atleast we won.
Aleer was very good and nice to see M.Neagle get plenty of footy.

An interesting statistic from the weekend (and the match earlier in the season) is that in three consecutive quarters we kicked a total of 0.15 (0.11 in the last half at Richmond, 0.4 from the first quarter on Saturday). I wonder if that is the most consecutive behinds by one club against another in history.
