After Norwood took a 19 pt lead and were in total control, a lift by Redden in the centre square ably assisted by the move of Poole onto the ball sparked 10 minutes of footy that was akin to the second quarter in the 2020 premiership. Norwood offered little resistance thereafter. Rowland did a great job on Shenton (only 5 touches) who always seems to play well against us. With 5 first choice players still to return (VB, Goldy, McFarlane, Cameron and Knight), we are well positioned to get the double chance.

You’re not losing the double chance, not when you’re effectively 3 wins ahead of 4th with four games to go
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Really that’s strange Eagles struggling to kick straight in front of goals .
If the Eagles had played your mob the last two weeks your mob would’ve defeated them
In my opinion the Eagles will improve with players coming back in .
As a side note for eagles fans a third generation Eagle played in the seconds win over Norwood I feel old watched his grandfather then father and uncle play .

Some wins can be more enjoyable than others and Saturday was one of those occasions. Clubs like to test themselves against long established and strong clubs and Norwood definitely falls in to that category, especially when playing at Norwood. For just over half the match the Eagles struggled to stay in touch with the Redlegs, it felt like the next Norwood goal would finish off the Eagles but whether it was doggedness, toughness, perseverance, grit or tenacity, some might say resilience the Eagles found that X factor to get a great victory. That same effort was on show against South Adelaide at Noarlunga a couple of weeks ago. Let's hope the Eagles can build on this quality.

Dom Barry had the cleanest guernsey on the park.
Even the Umpires at least had dirty socks.
