R16 North v WWT Sat 2.10

Postby DOC » Wed Aug 04, 2021 4:23 pm

Match of the round.

I'm guessing this will be a hotly contested affair.

I reckon Wedgie will get BOG.

Tough to tip.

North by a goal.

So that would mean the loser of this game wins the Grand Final?

Keen to see how the Roosters stack up against a top tier outfit, having won four on the trot against sides outside the top five. Reckon the Eagles might just shade us, but it'll be a close one either way - the last clash at Woody Oval was only decided at the death (and that day North had a number of chances to seal the win and didn't).

Interested also to see if Hartung plays, and if he does, whether he can survive the full match without suffering an injury.

Who's Simpson?

I think that shield is reserved for North v West matches.

Nice one.

Or, for the perfect swap in terms of timing and playing position, the Roberts-Dietrich cup.

I'd go for Trevor Hill, Max Parker or Barrie Barbary.
Looking forward to the day, I'm treating a Woodville past player and life member to the President's Lunch.
Peter Scwartz is the guest speaker and will get a nice surprise when he gets heckled from a former team mate.
