R19 Port v Glenelg Sat 2.10

Glenelg came away winners over West last week and Port accounted for South the week before.

Glenelg have won three of their last four at Alberton and their first match this year was a close affair.

That said, Glenelg are undefeated for a reason.

To continue. Bays by 12 goals.

Forecast is a wet deck with rain coming Friday & then again Saturday. Power reserves to field their strongest team for the year with upwards of 16 AFL listed players. I’ll take a one point win…

Has Hartlett mentioned his plans for next year?
Retiring or looking for another AFL club?
Or would he be another marquee player at the Magpies?

Excuse my ignorance, I didn’t think SANFL rules allowed medical subs that played the week before in the AFL to play the following week in the SANFL?

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, Billy Stretch and Will Chandler have also been added to the extended interchange bench.

Wanganeen-Milera returns after playing for the SA U19 team while Stretch could play his first League game since Round 1 after an ankle injury.

Midfielder/forward Tom Condon was sent back to the Reserves.

Sat 4th September, Glenelg Oval

10:00 AM
U/18s first semi final
West v South

12:30 PM
U/18s second semi final
Glenelg v Eagles

2 games where the result matters, featuring 4 dinkum teams whose prime purpose is to win. Lunch and a couple of beers, supports the Bays off the field as well as on it.

I know where I'll be.

I think the Port team is the "nightmare" of the SANFL. Loaded with genuine AFL talent. It would be a pity if Glenelg's unbeaten run was ended in a nothing game, but probably also depends on weather and attitude. I never ever thought that I would say this but : C'mon the Bays!

Almost the perfect hit out for us.

Quality opposition, looking forward to us stepping up to the opportunity to test our game plan against the equivalent of the Suns.

before a week off and then hopefully another week off before....
