Six day break

By quoting the reserves schedule for this Saturday I thought it might have been obvious I was talking about the reserves 2nd Semi, my mistake, I should've known better as a former Aldinga Beach resident I forgot to apply the Colonnades factor to my post. ;)

You should know by now that the stones that you throw need to come from a much bigger quarry.

Why on earth would you leave Aldinga Beach for Darwin? Akin to leaving Paris for Lagos.

Southern, Yankalilla (Fitzys) or Rapid Bay?

They were shocking at the ground

Those guernsys were worn by the Norwood players against the Crows in the last minor round. None of the 4,000 Crows fans at the game made a comment about the guernseys. ;)

Well they were awful.

I appreciate the reasoning with SANFL clubs limited income from sponsorship, but most guernseys have way too much on them, they're busy enough and Norwood go and do that!

I just thought it was a little weird they were using an alternate guernsey during a finals match.

Mind you, I seem to recall the Power wearing the traditional Port Magpies SANFL (RIP) guernsey in a final against Richmond a few years ago.

My comment was a poke at the lack of Crows supporters at the game.

The geurnseys were an acknowledgement of the financial support that Norwood fans gave to the club when the SANFL was postponed and the club (along with all SANFL clubs ) were facing financial difficulty. Each geurnsey had every name of any supporter who bought a "fortis in procella" range of merchandise to help the club. I would say it would be unlikely that those guernseys will be worn again in a game.

Be a long day on saturday at adelaide oval for die hard Eagle and Glenelg supporters. Sitting in a stadium from 12 noon (U18 Grand Final) to late saturday night (Eagles v Glenelg 2 semi) in again forecast wintry conditions. Not booking tickets just yet

https://sanfl.com.au/league/matches/?le ... &round=102

ACH stadium both games
Glg v EAG 11am

St v Cd 1.30pm

Rumours are SANFL and Glenelg wanted the 2nd Semi to be played Friday night to allow club support to the 18s GF, Eagles couldn't quite see the bigger picture and this is the result....

ONLY RUMOURS!!!!!!!!

Under 18 GF should be played as a stand alone at Thebby on the Sunday.

Better still, as a double header with the ressies second semi.

Was the attendance at Adelaide Oval from Sunday mentioned anywhere?

Troy Menzel gets a $125.00 fine, perhaps a little lucky.

It seems to be the standard MRP practice these days...a $125 fine and a reprimand. At the time it seemed to be a non-productive footy action, not gaining anything and losing a team mate's possession. He would need to be careful of white line fever against the Bays.

For SA supporters , C7 news about to revisit some of the last SA premiership side. Don't know how many are left.

Western Australia will take on South Australia in an Under 19 AFL Grand Final curtain-raiser. How is this going to impact the SANFL finals?

Perhaps only South given they are the only team that have State U19 players who regularly line up in their league team?

It would be unlikely that Litster would get selected for the Eagles team I would have thought

I would think if South make it through to the Preliminary Final, Horne-Francis and Roberts (if selected) would make South their priority.

The Reserves Preliminary Final teams might be effected though.

SA Coach has already said that League Finals take precedence if South make the Prelim.

With the Reserves, will be a discussion between the player and his Club. Would think be pretty hard for the young lad to miss out on playing before an AFL Grand Final and then getting to watch it live. Would think they would choose to go to Perth over a Reserves Prelim.

Are we going to have individual game posts this week? I’m happy to do them if Doc doesn’t want to or unless everyone is happy to keep using this thread.
