Excellent pickup, will get 40 most weeks just don’t let him kick it.
He will go very well in his time here and hopefully finds his way back on to a AFL list mid season

I think super coach Sheedy plays a huge part in attracting recruits. Has a very good CV to show to prospects. In the 100 odd years of West Torrens/Eagles he has by far been the most rounded and involved coach we have had. He has his head around all aspects of the club. The combination of Christine Williams, Luke Powell, Dave Couzner, Jade Sheedy and Mel have elevated the Eagles to a very high level.

Have been reliably told that Fejo will remain in Melbourne and play for The Bombers in the VFL.

Whereas you guys have lost almost your entire team from last year & I don't hear any real negativity from South supporters.

Because we now have faith in the staff led by Boof to get the right replacements to keep us in the mix. The last two years we've had many outs, not as many as this year but we've made two prelims. All our ins this year appear to be quality so I'm trusting the football department to have done a good job again. In years gone by it would be a feeling of doom and gloom, and for good reason.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

We are closing in on round 1 for the 2022 season, with our last trial game tomorrow against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval. The club has had some list changes since our last announcement, with a few departures and inclusions.

See below for an update on the recent movements as we look forward to the home and away season commencing;

Departures

Billy Hartung: Billy, as we all seen, had a challenging two seasons with the Roosters and has decided to step away from SANFL football. This is unfortunate as we all see his football talent when he was able to get on the field. Billy is soon to move back to Victoria for personal reasons.

Kaine Mercovich: Kaine has decided to return to Port Fairy after one season with the Roosters. A talented midfielder/forward, Kaine had some opportunities present at home with family also being a prominent component of his decision to return home.

Mason Neagle & Jayden Davison: Mason and Jayden are North Adelaide juniors who have made the decision to step away from the SANFL environment. Mason will play for St Peters in 2022 while Jayden will suit up for Kilburn.

We wish Billy, Kaine, Mason and Jayden all the best for the future and thank them for their commitment and contributions to the Roosters.

Ben Jarman is still a listed North Adelaide player but he currently doesn’t meet the SANFL health protocol requirements to participate in training and games. We are in communication with Ben and will work with him moving forward.

Arrivals

Tom Stapleton - Queanbeyan Tigers (Canberra)
Age: 21
Height: 200cm
Weight: 100kg
Position: Ruck/Forward
Tom is an athletic young Ruckman who has strong endurance and athleticism.

Jacob Bauer - Sydney Academy
Age: 19
Height: 191cm
Weight: 80kg
Position: Defender/Forward
Jacob is an exciting young defender/forward who reads the ball well and has exceptional aerial attributes.

Boadie Motton - Yarram (Victoria)
Age: 21
Height: 183cm
Weight: 84kg
Position: Midfielder
Boadie comes to North Adelaide following a season with Yarram in country Victoria. Boadie was involved with the Box Hill Hawks top up system where he was a teammate of current vice-captain Andrew Moore. Boadie is a strongly built midfielder who can play inside & outside the contest with good skills by hand and foot.

As well as Tom, Jacob and Boadie, we have had several local amateur and country league players who have completed the preseason with the following 3 earning league trial games after impressing through the summer training;

Tyson Brazel - 23 years old, 192cm key forward who was named in the 2021 Division 1 amateur team of the year. Tyson kicked 2 of our 6 goals last Friday night against Glenelg and has showed that he is capable at this level. Tyson is unfortunately unavailable for tomorrow’s trial due to health and safety protocols.

Matthew Longbottom - 23 years old, 178cm midfielder who won the North Eastern Football League Mail Medal playing for the BSR Tigers in 2021. Matthew is strong in the contest and accumulates possessions with his work rate.

Harrison Elbrow - 21 years old, 176cm midfielder who won the Schluter Medal for the Barossa, Light & Gawler league in 2021. Harrison has good acceleration from stoppage and covers the ground well. Harrison will play against Port Adelaide tomorrow in our final trial game.

It is always exciting to watch players develop and evolve as they come through our junior pathway. A few young players to watch in season 2022 who have impressed over pre-season are Harrison Magor, Blayne O’Loughlin, Matthew Borg, Jamison Murphy and Charlie Dinning.

We look forward to the season ahead and can’t wait to take on the Eagles in round 1 on April 2.

I've mentioned this in the CDFC thread, he's only playing 3 games to try to get into the Allies team.
Whilst Jamie has a season permit to play for us, he's still in the NT Thunder Academy program, which leads to the Allies team in the national carnival in June. He has 3 games to play then is up for Allies selection.

With ruckmen going down like nine pins:
Naitanui
Grundy
Pittonet
Lycett
Will Keegan Brooksby be ready to go if selected in the mid season draft. He IS living in Victoria, not a huge upheaval.

I would have thought that clubs would be looking closely at Harry Boyd do fulfil this role. Has been very impressive this year and seems to have improved quite a bit from last year. He also has the size to be able to come in and contribute immediately.

Tom graham come home and stop playing reserves at Norwood . I’m sure Dad wouldn’t be happy with that
