7 points now. Crowd (or lack of it) looks terrible.

Goal to the Eags.

WWT 5.3
NTFL 3.2

NTFL 6 points up at half time (6.3 to 5.3). I'm heading out so tune in to the live stream for updates. I only counted 15 people in the crowd, a real shame after the good crowd of almost 5000 I was a part of up there approx 15 years ago.

I’m home, got offered free tickets but said nah.

NTFl should finish all over WWT given where they are at in their seasons and it has been bloody humid up here today.

Eagles always compete though

NTFL win by 3 goals 12 11 to 10 5

Fair effort by the side WWT sent up, lots to be gained out this trip for them.

The conditions seemed ordinary especially after the rain. A good hit out for the Eags. They fell away late in the second half but some good signs with the kids. Kicking into the attacking area was poor. The NT guys easily repelled attacks. The standard of the game was lower imho than last years hit out and that probably was conditions based.

I know it was discussed some time back, but is it worth pursuing a NTFL rep side to play full time in the SANFL? They would seem to be about the right standard of competition.

They would get smashed just as they did in the much weaker NEAFL.

An eight team comp for us would be just fine.

No thanks. Just get rid of Port and Crows and return to an 8 team comp

A full strength Eagles side would have smash the NT last night. plus their season is now our .costs would also kill it.

Who knows what a "full strength" Eagles team is theses days. And the Eagles email said that a case of covid popped up between the start and end of the flight to NT. So are others on the same plane compromised too?

Our game was played on pretty ordinary conditions too.

Less rain yesterday than last year.

You would been like us, still in pre season mode haven’t done the volume of work so we’re always going to be overrun like us last year once the you hit the 9-10 km mark.

Plenty of people up here impressed with the Eagles given the side you sent up. Sheedy can fly back knowing he’s found a few good juniors to pmay Rd and his team is still best outside the AFL around the ball.

Nt sides look good now as they’re in season and SANFL sides aren’t. In season I’d back SANFL reserves sides to beat the NTFL Rep team.

So no other SANFL side sinc3? Wow.
Maybe the difference was the support North had up there?

We won fairly easily but Central at the time would have won by 10 goals plus.

Be good to get more games like this happening, I have fond memories of the trip to Darwin as well as a trial game I went to in Queanbeyan a bit later (which North also won)

I think we beat Norwood at the SCG too.
Our interstate record seems a lot better than the Crows or Power!
