Happy to see that score albeit will mean nothing come season proper.

Completely understand it’s only a trial game but where this squad is at development wise getting their hands in the ball, kicking some goals and creating a ‘high performing’ culture is going to be invaluable.

You’d think someone who quotes numbers so often would know the answer to that and get it right

They were referred to as periods.. to appease the mathematically inclined. Assume if they have a similar format at Milner Rd they might choose a different name?
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

There were 6 periods.

South played 55, Centrals similar.

One bad incident in the fifth period with a player knocked out which delayed things.

Total of 6 "stanzas" with league players concentrating in first 3 and ressies in next 3.
Dogs 15 goals combined to South 5 goals.

From a Doggies perspective the appetite for a contest was evident and ball handling was surprisingly efficient.
Looked very fit.
Whilst we lack any genuine ruck sized tall we had a lot of guys over 6 foot who may well prove tough match ups.
Aiden Grace used on ball looked a million dollars with Grant and Trav looking very sharp.
Dorizzi had some very good moments up forward and McCormack & Fort worked ruck well as a tandem and up forward.
Beuchner is a sound solid defender which allowed Llewellyn and Montgomerie the opportunity to fly for more balls.
During the second match up, Cowham and McDonald were impressive on ball and George Kendall made sure he impacted on every forward contest.

South were reliant on more short kicking than hands for movement and often missed targets which reminded us all its only February.

Dusty Launer was impressive in 2nd game,he won plenty of the ball.
Did his brother Blake play, was listed with number 11 but Jordan Tippins had that number.
Any reason why J.Schiller ,Presbury, M.Neagle, J.Neagle,Thomson ,Pisani,Lange,Habel and East didn't play.

Brodie Hudson (#22) was impressive in the second game. 3 or 4 goals, won lots of contested ball.

He (Brodie) was an ex Central ruckman, who I reckon only played the 1 x League game against the Panthers down at Noarlunga.

Been playing a while now in the Barossa League for South Gawler.

One of our Juniors. Booted 2 goals and had 4 contested marks. Not a strong point at Elizabeth in recent times.

Yep Dusty won plenty of the ball. Blake was due to play in the league hitout but was deemed a close contact and was in iso.
They are cousins.
Those you listed had a variety of minor twinges or aren't deemed match fit at present. At least 5 of that list would be playing in our next trial.
Shay Linke was another who wasn't playing and I am not sure on his progress from a nasty water skiing accident back in November.

Who was the South player, Doc and is he okay now?

FYI the Dogs player involved, Cooper Dahms, has been offered a 2 week ban for the incident.

PS - Was good to see you on Saturday ;)

I think it was a new lad, Shannon Jones. Don't know how he is. Did not move for a long time.

Good to see you too. Have to say Centrals looked pretty sharp.

Have to say, perhaps biased, 2 weeks seems light on recent reviews. Perhaps not a raised arm/elbow helps him.
