i hope they let the reserves game go for the entire game this year unlike last year as it is unfair to the players not to play out the whole game (not sour grapes from last year i would've thought the same if we had won) yes if the game has a 8 goal margin fine but if its in the balance it should be played out to its natural conclusion

I think they outscored the opposition heavily late in the game and the siren
went with minutes to go.
Ecky is still seeing a phyciatrist

North kicked the last goal to hit the lead and were behind most of the last quarter and were behind at 3/4 time.
Not sure I'd exactly describe the Bays as heavily oustscoring the opposition late in the game when they only kicked 1 goal for the entire quarter!!

If it went to time it would have just prolonged the Snouts pain and North would have probably won by more as they kicked twice as many goals at the Bays in the last quarter.

WEDGIE must have been another game that the bays or another club
stormed home to just miss, ECKY might have the answer.

Im glad I put I think.......

Yeah dude, you must have, or it must have been a long day, here's the scores from the day:

North Adelaide 4.4 6.7 7.9 9.10 (64)
Glenelg 4.1 5.8 7.11 8.15 (63)

The Bays could have gone 2 kicks up, missed, North ran it down the other end and got a goal late in the game, siren went about 50 seconds later.

I don't mind if the reserves are still going when they release the balloons. As long as none of the scouts get hurt.

Look I agree, I was even more worried with the prospect of a league cut throat final being cut short but themz the rules and they've been around for a little while.
I don't like the rules, but no used in complaining after they've been in for a while.

And just for the record when North beat Glenelg in the 2nd semi that year they came home the strongest too. That game went to its full conclustion and North kicked 5 goals to 3 in that last quarter.

I don't think supporters of either side today would mind if the siren went right now...North by ten goals halfway through the third. YUK.

Looking back at the texts I sent my Dad, North by 23 in the first, by 25 in the second and by 80 something in the third.

Maybe they did cut the game short and it cost North a 100 + point victory?

North kicked 10.2 in the third, and the 1/4 only went 20 minutes, but I guess that could be put down to the combined score also being 10.2
