North - Gill, Edwards,
Norwood-
Port -
South - Archard, Davey
Sturt - Hurley
West -
Eagles - Hier, Lomas

I think Thewlis from South is a quality player and has the size and athleticism to play at a higher level. Dont be surprised if he gets drafted as well.

North - Gill, Edwards,

Here ya go, I'll help you out.

North - McIntyre, Miller(if old enough, noone seems to know), Edwards. Those three almost montys. Possibly Pfieffer, Cunningham. Long shot Gill. Age and injury would be the biggest concern. Don't know if Gill would get a free reign in the AFL, like he does at North.

You don't think Norwood have any? :?

McLean, Donohue and Schulz are 3, Campbell and Hughes some more.

I think it refers to the eagles in general on grand final day!
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

North- Andrew McIntyre, Shane Edwards, Todd Pfeiffer, Zac Millar (almost in order). I think Gill has missed his AFL opportunity, & I don't think Ryswyck will get picked up. Matt Campbell would be 30/70 to get drafted imo.

Hier from eagles

Postby Ruck Legend » Sun Oct 08, 2006 8:42 am

Yes sorry it is Zac Hier.

The guy wears no.50 and is a left-footer. Looks very capable in defense. As a Swans man I would like to see the Swannies draft this young lad.

Lindsay Thomas from Port will get picked up as well.

Interesting to see Bryce Gibbs not make the Top 10 for any fitness categories at the Draft Camp, but still be considered the probable #1 pick. Shows that maybe AFL clubs are heading back in the direction of drafting footballers before athletes?

No not really - I think every year it's like that. The number one pick is the best footballer and quite often doesn't appear in the top 10 lists. Cooney wasn't up there from memory - neither Deledio, et al.

I think from Norwood the only senior possibilities to get drafted would be Campbell, Hughes & Cockshell .. Gibson would be a chance to be re-drafted but I'd be surprised if all 4 of them were taken this year.

On Gill, I wouldn't dismiss his chances .. There are several AFL Clubs (including both here in Adelaide) looking for that mix of pace and height to man defensive posts, and I reakon he could be a smokey.

Angus Lally from Glenelg is probably a chance to get Rookie listed or at best a late draft pick...

Austin is an outside chance for a rookie list too, but unlikely. At 17 I think they'll like to see him develop a bit more
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It wouldn't surprise me to see Adrian Wilson get another shot somewhere, apparently Carlton were showing interest at one point. Aside from Wilson and the Westhoffs, I don't think the dogs will feature heavily in this years draft.

Westies - (No 1 in players drafted)

Chris Schmidt - Certain

Caolon Buckley - Possible

Daniel Caire - Possible

Alex Hutchins - Possible

Todd Blacksell - 'Roughie', but a very realistic roughie.

I'd be a little surprised if Gill was drafted. Nobody showed any interest in him last year and I think he had a better year in 2005. He's also a year older. I'd like to see him get the chance, but I don't think he will.
