R11 Eagles v Centrals

Postby DOC » Tue Jun 14, 2022 4:44 pm

Saturday 1.05 PM (is that the 54th different day/time slot?)

The leagues two youngest clubs front up after the Eagles had a bye and Centrals went down at home against Port.

The Eagles beat Centrals by 50 points first time around. I think this will be closer. The ground will be heavy and wet which wont lead to high scoring. I think the venue should be changed, perhaps to Alberton, to allow the ground a chance to recover and for the showers to be fixed.

Eagles by 2 goals.

High scoring was never going to happen even on a ground in good condition ,we simply dont score enough.
Last year at Woodville we kicked 2 goals for the game so we should at least beat that hopefully.
Wouldnt matter where the match was played unfortunately cant see us getting close.

Eagles have named their strongest side for the year, but we all know games aren't won on paper! Central were pretty good against Port last weekend and the Eagles had the bye after the mother of all slogs the week before against South. The plumbers have been to fix the showers, the Eagles have trained away from Oval Avenue to give the ground a chance to heal and the forecast for Saturday is mostly Sunny, so we should see a decent footy game and the opposition should be happier win, lose or draw.

Aerie you can dismiss the win or draw part of your post.Once again unfortunately we will not be good enough and you will win easily .At least 8 goals i would think .We simply dont have the talent .

Hopefully the Eagles get up.

Some of that mud will be nice and crusty on Saturday.
