Round 19 in an 18 game Season West v Norwood

Postby DOC » Thu Aug 18, 2022 3:21 pm

Saturday 1.10

I expect this to be Gotchys last game.

A very warm congratulations to Logan Hill on his 200th and sadly last game for West. A magnificent one club player who got to play in a premiership.

Can't stay based on that record but in saying that, need more than just a coach.

I don't expect this to be an easy game despite the relative positions on the premiership ladder. However I expect Legs to do enough to be ahead at the final siren and secure the double chance.

The big question is will Westies use the same tactic that they used in a trial game on 16 March 2018?

Hartlett has been coaching the league side for the past 5 weeks. Gotch has been on the bench

Westies almost beat the best team.
3 occasions this season Norwood HAVE beaten teams that were top of the table. As I said in a previous post it won't be an easy game but Norwood will prevail because they HAVE beaten top teams rather than "almost" and that's the difference between Westies and Norwood.

They have a terrible list. Second half of year he has finally got them playing decent football. This is not the coach's fault.

Typical West if they sack the coach and then have to start all over again, give the bloke two more years to see if he can see the rebuild thru.

There is no such thing as a rebuild at this level.

Not a great day for the club so far.
U16’s claimed the spoon after West won at the death.
Ressies in 5th spot briefly but looks like Glenelg are going to win comfortably and claim it back.
Our U18’s can now finish top with a win or miss finals with a loss, that’s how close the comp is
