Heaps easier said than done but the Dogs need to bring in some serous A+ talent. We have plenty of goers who have a crack we need to bring in serious quality.

I wouldn't be surprised if Matthew Goldsworthy pulled the pin. Same with Allmond, although he might have another year in him if his body's feeling OK.

Spoke to Goldy in the canteen line at Prospect on Saturday during the Reserves final.

He said his body isn't feeling too bad and Sheeds is keen for him to play on again next year.

Said he'll have a think about in in coming weeks but mentioned that working at the club is convenient for training etc so gave me the impression he's more likely to play on than retire.

He's only 31 years old, so potentially still has a couple of years left, injury pending.

I hope he continues playing. He battled injury, but still played well and an important part in 2020. He missed much of the last part of 2021 due to injury including the premiership. Didn't look great in the finals games he did play.

Struggled and looked sluggish at the beginning of this season, but as he got into the season he played well. Showed enough signs that if he can manage his body, he can still make an impact. There aren't too many players at SANFL level that have the skills he has on his left foot.

Wishing Trav and his wife a great overseas trip next year, but boy will we miss him!

Wouldn't you wait to have a year off, once you have retired?

Maybe they want to start a family? In which case this is a trip that needs to be done now before that occurs.
More to life than just football.

On a positive vibe, Trav's body (esp his foot) may well benefit from a total rest.

Question Were the Centrals players and coaches including Travis upset that Centrals (read Greg Edwards) agreed to play Port at Woodville and Adelaide at Adelaide.?

I wouldn't imagine that the players etc. would be upset that the club (bigger than the individual), decided to reposition 2 fixtures, to hopefully get the club more exposure & possibly make more money.

Furthermore, I don't think we had much say in what the AFL wanted to do.

Still the wrong thread.

Sorry Gaz. I was sidetracked by a post that was the original sidetrack, namely, "Wouldn't you wait to have a year off, once you have retired?"
