Season starts in February, I think...
The Eagles being very active with recruiting, including a former Saint and Redleg...
Leah Cutting headlines the signings so far for Narelle Smith's girls...
Hearing that the Dogs and North might be swapping 2 gun players for their respective sides, as well...

Feb 18th start date.
Any idea on release date of the SANFLW draw?

Hi, all.

Don't want to give up my sources if I say specific names, but I will say that the Dogs will be pretty much be losing their best player.

Sturt have picked up Lucy Earl from Glenelg
We are pleased to welcome Lucy Earl to the Club.
Earl is a 2021 Premiership Player for Glenelg Football Club, playing 32 SANFLW League Games.
At 178cm, she is a strong bodied, key defender.
In 2022 she played in the Great Southern Football League, winning the Best & Fairest Medal for Goolwa/Port Elliot Magpies.
Earl is delighted to be joining the Double Blues where her uncle Andrew Downes (Player 798) played. Downes made his league debut in 1978 and played 154 games for the Club.
To play at a club where I have a family connection means a lot to me,” said Earl. “I’m excited for the season to come.”
We cannot wait to see Earl make her debut for the Club.

Nice article in The 'Tiser today from Andrew Capel...
Talked about West Adelaide appointing Jacob Surjan's wife to their board...
https://westadelaidefc.com.au/news/welc ... on-surjan/Heard last year the Bloods had thrown a MEGA deal at the current North coach...
Would have been a nice package deal with Alison, but the Bloods couldn't get their man...
Would love to be a fly on wall at the Surjan's dinner table the weeks when West and North play each other.

				Another signing at Sturt
We are excited to introduce Jasmin Fejo of the Adelaide Lightning Basketball Team to the Club.
At 175cm Fejo is a talented point guard with strong vertical jump. In 2022 she was named in the All Star 5 of NBL1 Central.
A product of the Rachel Sporn Lightning Academy, Fejo has represented South Australia in many national basketball championships.
We look forward to Jasmin’s Australian Rules career path with the Double Blues.

Dogs lose the 2022 SANFLW best ruck to the Roosters in Isabelle Starmer.
https://nafc.com.au/newsitem/7107Hearing they will be getting a Premiership speedster in return, though.

Whilst not officially announced from either club, that I can see, looks like Elaine Grigg is now a Bulldog...

Elaine is a great pick up for the Dogs, as I think they lack some run and leg speed on the wider expanses of Elizabeth.
Congratulations to all the state squad girls, listed in the link above.

SANFL selectors have settled on a 48-player 2023 SA U16 Girls Academy squad in preparation for contests against Victoria Metro and Western Australia next year.
Set to be coached by Norwood premiership player and SANFL Female Talent Coordinator Bek McMahon, the Croweaters will start off with six players from each SANFLW club training on Tuesday February 14.
The squad will then be trimmed to 30 after an internal trial is played on Friday March 10.
SA will then tackle Victoria Metro in Melbourne on Sunday April 23 before heading across the Nullarbor to confront Western Australia in Perth on Sunday April 30.
McMahon will be assisted by Norwood SANFLW captain Alison Ferrall, SANFLW Leading Goal kicker Kelly Barltrop and Redlegs premiership wingman Anthony Wilson.
Ferrall and Barltrop are both graduates of SANFL’s female coaching academy while Wilson has been working on and off the field with Port Adelaide’s SANFL program.
