The only games we have lost this year have been when we have been wearing the old 'V' style jumpers... sometimes we have played in those matches like we did during our prior time of wearing them (particularly 1973 onwards ;) ). As we are not wearing them this week, we will hopefully keep our unbeaten run of this season in the hoops jumpers.
Having said that, I do love the look of the 'V' style jumper.
Also having said that, I will be happy if we stay within 5 goals of the Bays this week. Our last five quarters of football have been disappointing. However, if we can get those out of the system and play like we did against North, the Ravens and Sturt, you never know....

Reckon its less about the V style guernsey, and more about the fact that we wear them on away ovals.
Looks to me that our game style is well-rehearsed on the expansive Elizabeth Oval, but is a work in progress on smaller decks, where the pressure that has been applied has broken us down.
We will have as good a line up as we can put on the park, with Prez and Hosko likely to be back in the frame, but its a tough ask against a very talented Glenelg team.

Northerner, I was only kidding about the losses being associated with the 'V' style jumpers; they are certainly not the reason. However, our play on away ovals has certainly been a problem. We will certainly know where we stand after this Saturday. Glenelg have to get used to the larger ground; we play our best football on larger grounds. If we don't put in a competitive effort this week, we really don't have any excuses. If we can do well this week, and somehow go on to make the finals, we should play well on Adelaide Oval.
Cheers

Huge test against the flag favourites if we play like we did against the Eagles and last quarter against West
it will get very ugly.
Hopefully we can push them all the way and get within 5 goals

Sturt & Crowserves faves with bookies, we still have a lot of work to do. Golf trip this weekend in Victoria so won’t be in attendance which is a bit of a shame as I do like going to Elizabeth. Tiges by 14 pts.

Looking forward to this game.

Centrals the biggest improvers this year. We’re trying to improve our big ground game.

Good test for us.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Had a listen to this. Bays recruited a gem in Liam, who sounds as good a bloke and team man as he is a player… Having said that I hope he has a shocker on Saturday..
