Dogs have come to play against us based on Thommo preparations. They are making us play slow.

Dogs working harder to out number is at the contest and are winning the clearances

There’s no ground ball stat on SANFL now but we would be getting smashed

Glad there was a 40% reduction in frees that quarter.

Score doesn’t reflect Centrals dominance that quarter
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It seems we are one strong-marking forward and a further year's experience from matching it with the big teams. With 18 of our side 23 or younger, the future still looks okay.

Dogs get the evener up free kick that leads to their goal late

Defence won us that game our pressure was huge. Basically did what Centrals were so good at 15 years ago.

Snook and Pink outstanding.

Should’ve won by more given we kicked 2xOOBOTF from 30 m and refused to contest on our last shot on goal should’ve at least been a point.

Got work to do with our Ball transition as Centrals put a lot of heat on us which caused us to make poor decisions or miss targets.

Always good to win out there 5 years in a row now.

Big test next week

Great work rate and terrific defence against the multi faceted Bays fwd line.
Teams are not scoring match winning tallies against us... we are just not able to generate any worthwhile scores up our end.
Some decent mid size lads up front, but clearly lack a big tall and a small live wire.

Although he was well held today, would love to pick up a player like Liam McBean. Congrats on his 100th.

We could equally state we should have been 5 goals up at half-time and put the game away, given the easy shots we missed in the first quarter (0-5 at the start) and the length by which we dominated the second quarter. We are one strong-marking forward away from being a truly top side. Our mids are very competitive and our backline outstanding.

Disappointing to lose to Glenelg again ,but the boys once again had a real crack.
Billy McCormack was excellent in ruck and George Kendall played his best game for the club holding McBean to one goal .

Fletcher Carroll is that small live wire we need.. knocking the door down in the ressies and should be rewarded..

Pearce has been given a good run at it but looks like he could benefit from gaining a bit of confidence in the 2’s…maybe young Lowowiak can offer a bit more X factor up forward..

Again one quarter cost us.. and when we dominated in the second quarter we just didn’t get scoreboard reward. Still more than happy with progress - we are tracking ok for the next couple of years if we can keep the group together..

Yes, for Pearce to get 3 disposals in each of the last two games, unfortunately is not currently up to standard. Additionally we've been getting plenty of inside 50s, and he's losing a majority of 1 v 1s.

Games aren’t won in a qtr they’re won in four.

Mate you got smashed in possessions by over 80 and in tackles by over 20

That should never happen, your club has a lot of passengers still.

When we were shit 2010-2017 we would at least compete in clearances (which you did today) and tackles. We were turnover kings with our skills but by large we had crack.

100% agree, we should of

2 x missed OOBOTF numerous turnovers due to Poor decision making

Offensively we are still work in progress especially on bigger decks

What was good was when we made a mistake we worked defensively to create a turnover

The fact we only allowed 22 D50 exits for you from our 31 entries shows whilst our forwards didn’t have best day scoring they were very good defensively.

You say that games aren't won in a quarter, yet... take away the third quarter and we outscored you by nearly 3 goals in the other 3. The reason you had more possession is that you play a short game: chipping around and handball happy. We had 12 more inside 50's: the match was mainly spent in our forward line. We just need a more competitive forward line.
