In fairness, his coach wasn't a fan of muddy ovals either.

Luke Habel, Justin Hoskin and Dylan Weaver all have officially retired. All great club men, and fantastic blokes.

Luke Habel is hands down one of the most genuinely nicest blokes I have ever met in SANFL footy.

Will Will Snelling get another year Jim?
Depends on our trade period IMO.
If we get Gresham I’d imagine Will would be cut

Early in the COVID period each club sought to raise funds to keep afloat via the Australian Sports Foundation. At the time a list of donors for each club was displayed and Luke Habel had donated to every SANFL league club. I have never met the man, but what a wonderful gesture and also how much the SANFL meant to him.

Yep, that sums up Harbs, to a tee.

He played at country NSW club Ganmain Grong Grong Matong before coming to the Dogs.

When he was regularly playing league footy, I'd always make mention of the GGGM Lions as his former club...

As I got to him a little bit more over the years, he not only got me a FREE beanie of the great GGGMFC he got one for my wife, as well.

Central had never had a Best Team Man award previously. Some important club got rallied the board to introduce this award specifically to acknowledge Luke, who was rightly crowned the inaugural winner.

Sad to see Habel, Hoskin and Weaver retire.

Pretty happy with the inclusions of Hately and Montgomerie assuming they don't get picked up by another AFL club. They both had quality to the line up.

If hately doesn't get redrafted he'll end up in Victoria with his missus
Montgomerie will return to cdfc

He is a local Gawler lad and widely known that Mum rules the roost and the men of the family do as they’re told ;)

Unfortunately for him I think he is a tweener.
Too good for SANFL but not quite AFL standard.
No shame in that, he will end up with a pretty decent SANFL resume

Big Phil, you can include Jesse Lonergan as an out for the Eagles as he retired at season's end. Aside from this, we wouldn't expect many other outs - the CEO reported this week that 95% of the playing list have already re-signed for next year.
