I know I post similarly every time that North win at Alberton but in my almost 70 years North have won a league game at Alberton 26 times.
Why do North have such a comparatively good record at Alberton?
Is it because North don't have to travel past the Cheltenham Cemetery or more likely does Alberton Oval with its sandy soil suit North's traditional style of play?

I reckon its the surface, my old man said when he played in the 50s it was always regarded as the best surface to play on and its only got better.
Not that today's result can be regarded with the side they were playing.

That was easily the worst Port side I have ever seen. Before the game I thought that North should win by 10 goals but knowing North as I do, I thought that they might not be switched on. At quarter time I thought that might have been the fact but from the start of the second quarter onwards North dominated. It was interesting to hear Jack Hannath on the commentary say when North were 14 points ahead that it felt like they were much further ahead such was their dominance. North certainly have improved since their extremely poor start to the year.

Need to bring Woodville back so that even they can beat them.

The former magpies have been long dead, what an inglorious way to end their last few months in the SANFL.

So they're long dead but still have a few months left, which is it?
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.
