Hoping to put up a contest against the 2025 minor premiers & premiers because if we dont we will get smashed
5 -8 goal loss would be a good effort .
Sturt will be far to good .we dont know how to beat them

We do actually .. at least we did in September last year. I’m hoping the clash earlier this season at the Ponderosa was more a case of us not being at the races that day rather than there being a massive gulf in the quality of the teams.
Having said that only an extreme optimist would predict a Dogs win at Unley this week.. and that ain’t me. Then again the Blues have to drop
one at some point don’t they?

Yeah we beat them in the finals last year but with a 2 -21 record against them
i would say we dont know how to beat them on a regular basis.

Sturt easily but it won't be a hiding,
Sturt don't need to bust their guts',
don't need to risk any injuries.

Doesn't get any tougher than taking on the comps best team in their home turf.

The two most consistent Clubs in the league this season.
The Dogs haven't lost to anyone outside of the 5, and haven't beaten any of the top three.
The Blues haven't lost.

Dogs will need to replace Presbury and Shaw.
Mihail Lochowiak is available again whilst Barreau has worked his way back to fitness and form after overcoming the dreaded OP.
Another who may be considered is defender Dan Fairbrother who has been in great form in the ressies; I suspect once he is selected at league level, he will become a long term fixture... definite talent.

Replacing who? He has been replaced as the small defender by Callinan who hasn't done much wrong, and is 20, whilst I believe Billy is looking at returning home at the end of this season.

Surely looking to return home has nothing to do with selection. If Callinan is playing good footy and there's no spot that is all that would be considered, but Billy's plans for next year wouldn't be taken into consideration when picking the best team to win this week

Callinans ball use has been better than Iles. Actually Billy might make it this week, but in a different role.

I am very happy to see Fairbrother get a start on Saturday. He has been very impressive in the ressies over the past month. A left-footed defender with courage, strong overhead and good footy smarts.

Have to feel for Barreau. He could have been the straight swap for Shaw, but picked up a thumb injury last week.
