There is a large gulf in the SANFL and it was evident watching the game live. We were just a lot cleaner with the ball in the backline and midfield, and looked more dangerous going forward.
The wind looked a little flukey. It was blowing toward the grandstand, but the outer wind sock was limp. As Locky said, if we'd kicked straight, it could've got messy.
Special mention to the umps, who were atrocious.

Is that large gulf between Sturt and everyone else? I suspect so…

Sadly, someone in the crowd at Prospect suffered a fatal heart attack during the match.

We did see the ambo's doing some serious CPR over the far side and wondered if it was going badly - just simply because of the length of time it took. That's really sad. Condolences to the family.
The ONLY thing that could be a positive to this, is that they passed away doing what they love, cheering on their footy side.

Not sure! We'll find out soon. I suspect that North are down toward the bottom end at the moment. They are a very young side so they will improve.

It looked like men versus boys. Sturt were much physically stronger, tackled better, had far superior skills, and ran the ball so much better than North.
North's first and last quarters were very poor, but they did have a go in the second and third quarters.
Schumacher and O Francou were North's only two consistently good players.
On what I have seen of him, I believe that Josh Hone is the best small man outside of the AFL and has been for the past ten years. It is too late now, but I think that he deserved a chance at AFL level at some time during his career.
